Five stars after five years in a shop.

Used regularly and with malice for five years, finally broke the 1/4" yesterday, the 3/8" seeps some grease out and the switch is starting to stick a little. But for what they've been through very satisfied overall and I'm ordering again without shopping around.

Great quality

This set (3/8 & 1/4) comes with a convenient EVA foam storage tray. Very nice set. I’ve not used the product for long but feel there’s a good deal of flex at the pivot point, thus, the hit on durability in my rating. However; there’s a lifetime warranty so… can’t complain.

Good to bridge the gap between cheapo and tool truck.

The 3/8 ratchet is amazing. After hard use breaking caliper bolts, suspension, etc i havent broken any teeth or had any mechanical issues. This tool gets tossed on the floor, ran over, and soaked in solvents and oil. Never had an issue. Only downfall is the detent for the flex head can be a little weak so it will flop over but not a huge issue. Not nearly as bad as the snap on detentless flex heads. Im surprised the handle hasnt chipped, fallen off, or started to peel even after being ran over on the alignment rack by trucks multiple times. Overall the 3/8 ratchet is great. Now for the 1/4. Mine is very crunchy and the head is too big to be used as a primary 1/4 ratchet. Also the flex detent makes it awkward to use in tight spaces. Honestly i never use this ratchet for those reasons. If you can get just the 3/8 by itself id strongly recommend getting that and investing into a good 1/4 ratchet.

Satisfied thus far.

I've been using this semi-professionally (Technical school 3 to 4 times a week usually) for about half a year now which feels long enough to me to reasonably comment on them. No problems with wear thus far, but it's not been truly long term though so I'd still consider it more 'no obvious and immediate issues'. I like them both allot, the small swing to engage really helps and it's nice and smooth, head is pretty thin too which is nice. As for the flex head personally I like the detents to hold it, yeah it's not as 'infinitely' adjustable, but it's probably less likely to get sloppy overtime and truthfully the increments it has are going to cover 99% of use cases anyway. When it pops in it really holds the angle, I much prefer it personally. I saw one guy claim you can't move it easily while working, but frankly he must have the weakest fingers know to man, the engagement is positive, but not heavy and it's trivial to pivot it between the positions while it's on a bolt. Handles I'm kinda conflicted on. The rubber is definitely is easier to get a solid hold on and slips less, but that goes hand in hand with it collecting gunk and being obviously less durable then chrome. Overall I think I still prefer the rubber though. This specific one is nicely shaped and seems to be holding up well so far to having been dunked in several types of fluids as well as the usual wear and tear. Both the ratchets in this set are pretty long, the 3/8th in particular, that can be good or bad depending on the task ,but the 3/8th is big enough to sometimes be obstructive, but on the other had that big handle gives you lots of leverage. Still if this was going to be like your one 3/8th ratchet I'd look at something a few inches shorter. The 1/4th is I'd say slightly longer then average too, but less so, honestly in it's case I mostly find it a benefit, quite a few 1/4th are so stubby I often find it hard to get much leverage on them in any kind of awkward position. Edit: Checking in with no over a year of daily professional use as well, still holding up fine though the 3/8th is missing a chunk of rubber now from when I stupidly got it pinned trying to use it on a idler. Consider that a point in it's favor though, it took a ton of force to get it back loose, but it kept on trucking.

3/8 Drive Ratchet failed on me

Initially I really liked these ratchets. Unfortunately as soon as I started to use the 3/8 ratchet, it will automatically reverse in use. I made sure that I wasn't bumping the lever. Somehow the ratchet just reverses itself quite often so I no longer use this ratchet. Maybe when I have time I'll have to take it apart to see if there's anything wrong inside.
