Worked perfectly
After encountering the same issue everyone else has (fan stays on when door is open or turns on when I close it until I wiggle the door) and a little (ok, a lot) of researching, I purchased two of these along with 1 GE WB24X830 and replaced the three switches, and so far so good. The old switches were 10+ years old so figured it was time. Hopefully these will last just as long.

Easy Fix!
Microwave Oven suddenly stopped heating, although the light would turn on when start was pressed. After research online and some troubleshooting, discovered one of the three microswitches in the door latch was broken. Found it on Amazon. Received and installed it two days later. Microwave works just like new (it is 18 years old). It is installed over the oven and under the cabinet, so I dreaded having to replace it. I highly recommend checking these switches prior to giving up and replacing the oven.

Works perfectly
This part is not clearly identified on the manufacturer's parts diagram for model PT970SR2SS. I used this to replace the top switch of the three in the microwave latch assembly and it works correctly.

Saved Me A Good Hundred Bucks
Watched a YouTube video on how to fix a problem with my GE Cafe Microwave/Range Hood. The microwave's fan would kick on when I opened the door. It was an easy job to disassemble and replace the defective switch. Took about a half hour. To have someone else fix it would have been a $70 charge to come out and see whats wrong. Then two to three weeks later come back with the part and have a charge for the part plus the labor of the install visit.

Fixed the problem!
Bought this for my GE HVM1540SP1SS microwave. When started, the timer would count down, but no spinning/heating would occur. After some checking around, it seemed the lower switch where the door connects was the problem. This part fit perfectly, and now the microwave works. It took about 5 minutes to take apart the microwave and swap the new switch for the old one. This was a much cheaper repair than paying a technician to come out and do it!

Thanks to youtube and Amazon I was able to fix the microwave issue myself for cheap! The only thing I would mention is that there are three of these little switches in the microwave. If I had looked before I ordered, I probably would have ordered more than one. I was able to fix it by just swapping them out until I figured out which one was bad. Now I know. Feeling accomplished!

Good replacement, but short product life
This switch fixed my problem and the installation was a breeze. It's fairly priced and it saved me from having to call a repairman. However, they only last about 13 months. Then they go bad and for that reason I'm taking away two stars on my review. GE fix your part or offer a warranty.

This fit my GE microwave perfectly and was easy to install after checking out a couple of online How To videos.
