I like it

Great shave - I bought this razor to shave my pubic area because I want a smooth area. This razor works so well for that and for shaving all over my body. Gives a great shave but I usually toss it after a week because it seems to dull.

Great shavers but wish they were individually packaged with a seal.

The package comes in a box. The replacement razors come in the containers without the usual plastic seal. This is a little disappointing for transporting for travel and for storing in the bathroom. Other than the packaging I really like Venus razors and these charcoal ones seem like a clean and close shave.

I like it !

I'm glad to see it has a solid metal exterior. It's not hollow plastic wrapped in cheap silver foil. It actually looks like stainless steel and has some weight to it. After a month of normal use, the shaver has maintained its original appearance.

My new favourite razor

I love everything about this razor. First and foremost, I was thrilled to find a Venus line razor with a metal handle. Despite the unnecessary amount of plastic packaging it comes in, the metal handle has weight to it and is wonderfully sturdy and of great quality; it really feels like it will last a lifetime and as such, I did not feel guilty buying it despite its more expensive price tag compared to the plastic Venus handles. As for the slipping that so many people have mentioned before me, I have not once had this issue. This handle actually sits in the hand very comfortably no matter what angle I hold it at, and overall I find it easier to grip than the plastic ones, thanks to the rubber pieces being placed in just the right areas. As for the blades themselves, to put it bluntly: I have never had a closer shave in my life. I only need to go over an area once and then I am on to the next. They leave my legs feeling beautifully soft and well moisturized; I have not had to apply lotion after shaving with the blades that this handle comes with. With that being said, I like that the attachment on the handle is compatible across the various Venus brand variety of blades. Although I can't imagine myself straying from the ones that came in this package, it is nice to know that I would not need to buy an entire new set - I can pick whatever blades I choose. But that goes for any Venus handle you purchase.

Blades suck and the handle broke

The blades are pretty much impossible to get a good shave of you aren't using some kind of gel where as normally I can use just water for under the arms with my previous razors. I specifically bought this though for the metal handle, I wanted something sturdy and that would last a while. I don't shave too often so I haven't used it too many times since purchase but the button that ejects the blades when you remove them has snapped off so I can no longer get the used blades off thus the whole thing is now trash. I am not at all impressed with this item.

Good product but damaged packaging

The media could not be loaded. I really want to give this a five star review, but the package I received was damaged/cut in a major way, there's no way that it was intentional/by design. The blade itself seemed new/undamaged, but I was definitely hesitant to use the item. For what it's worth, the handle is not too heavy, it feels comfortable. The shave is much closer than your average blade, so that was nice. I was also able to comfortably and safely navigate the blade over sensitive areas that are usually tricky, like under arms and bikini area. I really wish I'd gotten an untouched package because I'd probably have ordered this again.

Brilliant, durable, sustainable

Amazing! I wasn't expecting to find a metal handle! I've had my old, plastic Venus for years and finally dropped it on some tile the wrong way. It snapped and became somewhat dangerous to use. This metal handle is compatible with the heads I bought from Costco and seems very sturdy! The materials is environmentally friendly (even though the packaging isn't) and it should last for decades! My only complain is that it's heavier than the plastic one, but I think that's expected!

Love the weight.

AlRight so I've been using the same handle for about 4-5 years now. I just never ever thought if the factor of switching out the handle when I always give myself a fresh blade. Anywho my boyfriend decidws to get this for me and wow , just wow what a different in weight when it comes to just the handle part. I love it. Makes it easier to me way more accurate. Thanks
