It works and my favorite design for a harness

I'm giving me this a 4 because I already had an extra small for my puppy and I wanted the same harness for my mature Schnauzer which I ordered in small and does fit however the neoprene on the newest one that I just received is a thinner fabric and not as cushy as the one on my older same brand harness that I ordered an extra small for my puppy. I believe the older ones were made better or with a different fabric based on the design of both of these at first I thought it was just because the extra smell has less space between the armholes making it firmer but it definitely seems to be a thinner neoprene fabric. I will keep it as it's been a great harness for my puppy My puppy one is actually upcycled from my mother's puppy that outgrew it a few months ago so the puppy one is about 1-year-old Where's my new one I just received within a week.

Best harness yet

We have tried several harnesses for our Jack Russell terrier mix. So far he has not escaped from this one on a walk with us, but he has made quick work of two other ‘escape proof’ harnesses. It doesn’t look as if he can rapidly back out of this one since it doesn’t go over the head. Also, he hated having a harness pulled - even gently and with treats- over his head. We literally had to chase him around the house and forcibly hold him to get it on him. He still isn’t excited to be harnessed, but is much calmer just stepping into the foot openings. so far, so good. Fingers crossed!

Great Except for the Leash Hooks

I like this item as it is lightweight and easy to secure to your dog. It seems like it is made of good/sturdy material. There is only one major issue with this that keeps it from getting a 5 star. The two plastic hooks that the dog leash attaches to. The plastic hooks are thick and, when combined together, they make it difficult for a normal small dog leash to attach to them. It's like you need a large dog leash with a large clasp to use with a small dog harness. Not sure why they didn't just use two metal hooks like everyone else does. They are much thinner and probably stronger in the long run.

PRETTY STURDY & SAFE

This harness is pretty comfortable for my dog for short walks. It’s pretty safe but not completely escape proof, but, I don’t think anything is completely escape proof if they really freak out. It fits a little large in a weird way but the smaller size was too small. He is a jack russell/dachshund cross so a bit difficult to fit. All in all it has worked well for us for several months and held up under daily wear.

Escape artist, no more!

Gooby was recommended by a professional dog trainer. My little guy manage to back out of his harness twice. He’s been fine, until my neighbor adopted a large kind of intimidating dog. The Gooby harness and leash are terrific. My 12 Schnoodle is safer and my anxiety level has dropped. Hopefully, we will make friends with the big guy. Going forward I will stick with this product

Rubber stops wear out

I love this harness. It's cute, seems comfortable on my dog BUT... once the harness gets a little old (6 months of daily wear and tear, on and off 4-6 times per day), the rubber stops on the size adjustments no longer hold. My 25 pound dog was able to back out more than once. I'm buying a new one to replace, but just be aware that this could happen as the harness gets old!

This is not my first Gooby harness …escape …proof

I have bought this harness for years when we had our dachshund. Now we have a new adopted senior dog ? I purchased a mesh one of the same design escape proof/large. Fits great ,looks great but falling apart. As you can see in the pictures the weave is unraveling. Haven’t even used it a month ???? Purchased January 27. I am writing this review because I can’t find anywhere on Amazon or Gooby website to contact seller. Massively disappointed in quality and more so since I can’t contact Gooby. Hopefully someone with the company will see this and help with my dilemma. I will be calling Amazon. At least a refund . I’m will not buy the mesh next time. Quality ….is looks good but falls apart. Will look for a better harness with quality control. Signed Disappeared ☹️ Update … Finally contacted Gooby. Have a new harness coming. I changed to the sport model and it is shipping out soon.

Gooby is the BEST for all dog related items!

I love this company’s products. They are excellent quality & you can tell they give their products thought. The harness is both sturdy & comfortable. My dog doesn’t mind wearing it at all and will even come running when I get it. Also, on another item I purchased, a coat, there was a snap at the neck - so even if my dog struggled I could zip it up with ease. I have purchased many Gooby products & they’re the first place I go to when I need anything for my dog. I have ALWAYS been very very pleased with everything I’ve gotten from them! Def highly recommend!

Great product!

My pug managed to escape from 2 harnesses prior to trying this one, which a friend recommended. We've been using it for 2 weeks now and she's not managed to wriggle out of it yet! She is still a pup and quite wary of new places and situations so spends a fair bit of time dragging back, but this harness has held tight. I'm a Gooby convert and have recommended the brand to a number of others!

Excellent balance between comfort and security

We have needed to try a lot of harnesses and this one has ex excellent balance between comfort for the dog and security. We believe it will be difficult for our dog to back out of the harness because if he pulls against the harness it will tighten around his body. A very good product which I am happy to give 5 stars.

Really fast delivery. Excellent quality, expensive but quality. Fits well and I’ve tried lots of different ones, my dog is exactly in between sizes on most harness makes. Wanted one without buckles behind legs as they rub him when he gets hay fever red skin under armpits. This is perfect.
