Works well using thick watercolor paint or a couple of layers and nice to use as you get a better idea before you paint it on your watercolor paper.. Akso washes right off afterwards to use again.

Unrealistic expectations?
The sheets don't accept paint quite as well as I had hoped but perhaps I was unrealistic in my expectations. I have no experience with this type of media so can't give a comparison rating.

Very pleased!
This is exactly what I was looking for, for testing the hue on watercolor glazes. It doesn't bead up even with a thin application.

Plexiglass worked just as well. Not good for watercolors. Probably great for other mediums

Good stuff
Ignore that one star review for this - pencils should never be expected to work on glossy film as they are not wet media. And that's what this film is great for - watercolor, acrylic, ink, marker - anything liquid based. Great for creating layered compositions and maintaining the ability to scan each layer separately if you want to go digital. And if you use ink or water color, it is very easy to just wipe off and re-use if you aren't creating a finished piece on it.

Nor recommended for colored pencil work.
I bought this with the hope that I could use it for my colored pencil art. I have used another unidentified drafting film purchased at a blueprint shop with great success, both for colored pencil, and ink. However, I quickly discovered that Dura-Lar can accept only one very thin layer of colored pencil, and blending (unless the second color is applied to the opposite side) is out of the question. Using Koh-i-Noor woodless colored pencils, the colors are very washed out due to the very limited ability of the Dura-Lar to accept anything but a very thin layer. However, a cursory test indicates that it may be very good for ink (technical pens such as Rapidograph, Micron, Copic Multiliner),

Looks really useful, but not tried it yet
Looks really useful, but not tried it yet. Used in video printmaking course. Looks reasonable substitute for the fashionable gelli plate
