REVIEW INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FIRST !!!
OK, I bought these to replace my 2-seasons old mower blades as they didn't seem to cut the grass so criply anymore. After changing them out, grass cuts just as well as new. HOWEVER, you should know that changing the blades out is not necessarily a breeze. FIrst off, the blades are DIFFERENT. There is a Blade 1 and a blade 2. They cut opposite directions. As you replace the blades, you MUST ensure that you swap the blades out correctly, or they will not cut your grass properly. Second, one of the nuts is reverse threaded. If you did not know this (like me), you will struggle to loosen the backwards threaded nut and find it impossible. I almost gave up before deciding to look for directions. Directions: yes, you can find the companie's online manual and review instructions there, but the simplest thing do do is simply follow the pictograms on the blades, which will tell you important info. 1. WHich blade is #1 vs #2. 2. WHich direction to rotate nuts to loosen or tighten. Each blade shows both, an arrow pointing to one side under an UNLOCKED symbol means to turn it that way to loosen. The arrow pointing the opposite direction underneath the LOCKED symbol means turn this way to tighten. Simple, huh? ALso of supreme importance, after you remove the blade you will need to transfer both the metal plate and the plastic plate from directly under the nut to the new blade. These items help you lock the blade down relative to the shaft, without them you will be unable to bolt down the blades. Thats about it, remember to block the blade from turning with a large piece of wood or piece of 2X4 lumbar to keep the blade from rotating while loosening it and you will be good. HOpe these instructions help.

I was able to easily replace my Kobalt lawn mower blades with this. I have a lawn mower model # KM2040X-06 and couldn't find any OEM blades. This is a perfect match. Took me 5 minutes to replace.

Fit my Kobalt electric lawnmower.
Inexpensive replacement for the blades that came with my Kobalt mower. The metal seems a bit soft and needs to be sharpened more often to get a good cut on the grass. For this reason I took one star off because I don’t think they will last more than two years before I will need to replace them.

Easy Installation!
It took longer to find the right size wrench in my tool box than it did to replace these blades. I was curious to see how this would go since many other reviews stated the direction embossed on the blade to turn the nut was incorrect but my blades had the right orientation on them (of course it would have been a simple matter to turn in the other direction). I found it necessary but easy to brace the blade so I could apply force for unscrewing by using another wrench set against the blade on the opposite side. The new blades appear to be exact copies of the original blades. Now I'm all set for a new season of gas-free mowing!

Fits the kobalt
Although the title says greenworks, thos fit my 21" battery powered Kobalt lawn mower. Nice clean cut. I change my blade once per year and sharpen at least once per month during the growing season.
