Fun building, frustrating flying
My daughter and I had fun building this. Adding weight in the nose seems necessary to trim it properly, but we are having trouble getting good, long flights out of it. Might need a better rubber motor or different prop? I broke the motor trying to get more winds on it.

Difficult but fun
Bought this to put together with my eight year old daughter. It took us a while and was a bit beyond her skill level, but we had a great time assembling it! It takes a lot of wing adjustment to get a good flight, but it really is fun.

Decent kit but shame on Amazon.
I bought this to build with my 10 year old grandson. The kit will work out fine as I have built many of the better Guillows kits in the past, but the package when received from Amazon was a mess. It had obviously been opened before and taped shut. Several of the longer stringers were broken and stuffed into the box. I’m surprised that Amazon would repackage and ship it out in in this condition.

An old favorite reborn
Guillow again has done an excellent job of recapturing this Comet beginner series of kits. Former known as the 21" span Cloud Buster, die cutting is clean with quality wood, even came with a one ounce bottle of white glue. With a longer fuselage, it is sort of reminiscent of the "commercial" kits of and prior to WW2. That means a longer rubber motor capable of packing in many winds for good successful flights coupled with its lightweight airframe. This kit is similar to the slightly larger 24" span Guillow Javelin Kit #603, which lists for a touch more. This is one worth entering in this year's Yahoo Groups! guillows-g-challenge Contest, which I will be my entry, which is open to all and free. Of the Guillow entries permitted, this one has a very high potential of being a winner. I am glad I purchased this kit.

Very nice kit!
I was pleased to see that my kit came with nice quality balsa wood, and laser cut wing ribs! There is Die-cut parts for the fuselage and tail fins but they was very cleanly cut & I had no problems removing them with no chipping, I would recommend this kit to builders that have some experience with these types of models. As there is a fair amount of cutting & sanding required, A true beginner would be better off starting with the Guillow's Cadet, or Cloud Buster kit, in my opinion. But overall I would rate this kit 9/10. Would definitely buy again!

Extremely time consuming and difficult to put together
Complex, difficult assembly. Very aggravating to build. Extreme number of very small pieces that ALL have to be pinned and glued together. I probably will not even bother to try and build it. It needs to come with large items like fuselage and wings already assembled. Don’t but if you do not have hours (days) to work on this.

Great little flyer
Although I built many of these kits back in my youth, it has been some time since I completed one. Thanks to laser cuts, the balsa pieces are easy to remove and assemble. I would highly suggest using CA quick drying glue
