Great, if idiosyncratic
I think the 1 star reviewers may be getting knockoffs; I've seen those here before, which is too bad. The coating on mine has worn a little more quickly than I'd like, but I don't think it's painted, just a kind of thin coating. And, personally, that's great, because the watch it went onto has been beat up, so after a few rough months of wear, the two are matching. If you're after pristine black that lasts and lasts, this is probably not a good fit for your needs. Adjusting the pins is a total nightmare until you figure out that they don't gall the way through. Don't try to push in from the end of the link! You know, like every other watch band in existence. On these, there's a notch in the middle of the link, with a little nub in the center of it. Push that little nub out in the direction of the arrow (conveniently on the opposite side of the link…), and it will gradually slide out. I had to use a jeweler's driver, twisting between the nub and the band to get enough force to pop the nub through. From there, it wasn't too bad. And, honestly, that much force is good, because it keeps the thing from popping loose. Also, be careful with the pins you put into your watch body. I had mine pop loose twice the first day I put the band on, before I figured out this band was blocking my view of the fact that I only had it partially seated. Give it a firm wiggle after you put it on. My only real complaint is that my wrist hair sometimes gets caught between the links, which is always surprisingly painful. I suspect this is a universal problem with metal bands, though. All told, I really like this band after a few months of daily wear. It does seem to be wearing through the finish faster than most people would like, and adjusting it is … different, but I'm definitely planning on keeping it for a while longer.

Nice band, lighter than expected
Bought this band for my pebble smart watch and it fits great. I was a little surprised at how light the band was for a steel band, but since the pebble is already a very light watch, it works well for me. I didn't have any trouble adjusting the size (just use a very small flathead and slide the pins out in the direction stamped on the band). The color and gloss matches my pebble well and the links don't pull on my armchair, which is a nice bonus. Overall I'm pretty happy with it, but the lightness of the band does have a slightly cheaper feel than I expected. Update 5/31/2013 After almost 2 months with the band, I'm still happy with it. I wear the watch pretty much all the time and do some pretty rough stuff while wearing it (car repair, home repair, etc) and there are a few spots on the band that I've managed to scratch off the black and expose the stainless underneath, but all in all I'd say it's holding up quite well.

Looks good on my watch
I've been wearing the standard strap on my Pebble since I received it and it was just OK. This band really makes the watch look a lot better. The band would have benefited from some instructions sent with it on how to pull the pins to adjust the wrist size, but googling gave me the help I needed. I wouldn't have figured out how to do it on my own, and it takes a lot more pressure than I would have thought to push those pins out. But, I'm very happy with the final results. And yes, it does tend to tug on my arm hairs as someone else has noted. I'd buy it again. UPDATE: It's now May 29, 2014, so I've had the band for three and a half months. It still looks great. Event the long flat clasp, where I most suspected it would scratch and show stainless below still looks pristine. Yep, I love it.

I associate the heavier bands with better quality. It's very hard to find black metal ...
This is an 18mm band that will fit a 22mm watch so it looks a little thin on my LG G Watch R (like a body builder with skinny legs). I had it put on my watch on Friday and by Monday the finish was rubbing off. The links are not solid so it is rather light. I have a number of stainless steel band watches and they are all made with solid links so while less weight can be a plus, I associate the heavier bands with better quality. It's very hard to find black metal watch bands so I'm going to keep it and I'll probably replace it next year. I am highly disappointed though as it was sold by Amazon and I usually have a good experience buying from them. Bottom line if you want a good watchband and can find a different one don't buy this band.

Works great for a Pebble
I too got this for a Pebble watch like another reviewer. I was concerned about the length and the weird adjustment, but one email to the seller got me the info I needed to drop 4 links. It is light and tapers down to 18mm like the listing says which can look a little small on the pebble, but it matches the gloss well and looks great. I'm happy. From all the looking around I've done, I think this is the best option for the Pebble unless you 3D printed something.

Horrible, cheap watch band
I purchased this watch band because I know that Hadley Roma NORMALLY makes good watch bands, however, this watch band is the biggest piece of crap I have ever had. First of all, the band is flimsy and light, the polish on it is good and matches my watch, but I could have gone to Wall Mart and purhcased a better feeling and more well constructed watch band for half the price. Adjusting this watch band is a total nighmare, I have all the tools necessary to adjust ANY watch band, however, the links on this band use these flat pins. I wrote to Hadley Romas customer support which I received no answer, on how to adjust it properly. I have now total ruined the band because these pins are near to impossible to extract. I found a video on you tube on how to adjust these type bands. I guess the one they adjusted in the video was of exceptional quality because their pins came out easily. DO NOT BUY THIS BAND, unless you do not care what your watch looks like or you like wearing your watch like a loose bracelet because you will never be able to get it adjusted. Simply horrible, and as for Hadley Roma's customer support- epic fail.

Good band, could be better
The band is extremely light for a steel band, I was hoping for a bit more weight. The links are also a pain to remove, but I found a helpful guide at [...]. If you can find a tiny flat head and use it to pry the links out that works best, and after you get the hang of it it becomes easier. My band was originally 22, and this is a bit narrow but a definite improvement over what I had.

Hadley-Roma Men's Watch Bracelet: MB6178RA
I bought this band about 4 months ago to replace the leather band on one of my watches. I just prefer the sleeker feel and look of a metal band over the tail sticking out on a leather or rubber/nylon band. The tail always catches on shirt or jacket cuffs, tends to shift the position of the watch on my wrist which is rather irksome. This band fits pins from 18mm-22mm using tightly pressed sleeves on each side of the band at either end. This is not ideal as it does leave a bit of a gap from the edge of the band to the lugs on the watch case. Still, this was preferable to having a frayed leather band. I have not noticed any particular wear or scratches on this band and I regularly wear this watch on the order of 3 days a week. Overall, it was a good value for me and I would buy other bands from this maker as the need arises. The only improvement that comes to mind might be a similar model with curved pins and end links to better match the shape of a watch case.

Ok, but grabs your hair
Bought this for my pebble watch. Looks good although the band itself is only 20mm (ends are springs that expand to fit 22mm). It works just fine, but would look better if the band was actually 22mm. I've had other metal bands and they did not grab at my arm hair. This one pulled at my hair every time I moved. I finally solved the problem by taping the inside of the band with electrical tape.

Good looking band, for about a week.
Bought for my pebble. This thing scratches REALLY easily. It started out looking fine, but scratches began to quickly show on the underside. By the end of a month or two the clasp was completely void of paint. Would not recommend if you have a desk job unless you take your watch off all day.

Good strap if your wrists are not too large
Excellent strap for my LG Watch R. I hated the stiff cheap leather strap that came with my watch, this was a good choice. However, if you have big wrists, don't buy it. Normally I take several links out of a watch strap, but this one was barely big enough with all the links in place.
