Quality weight of paper, mostly too sheer

This set is a mixed bag of wrapping paper in terms of quality and design. There are six rolls: pink glossy, marbled glossy, speckled glossy, kraft with white plusses, white matte with a wide grid, and a multicolored striped matte. All six have a nice weight; they cut and fold cleanly and look crisp on a rectangular package. The matte papers have a grid on the back for easy cutting, and as a nice touch the glossy papers have enough of a grid to work with but also the cutting and assembly diagram for turning the paper into bows. All six are labeled as recyclable. Of the six, however, only two (the kraft and the speckled) are opaque enough that I would feel confident using them over a gift with any recognizable text or image, and even the speckled shows the package underneath a little bit. If you are wrapping solid-colored packages (such as most gift boxes are) you can use any of the papers, but otherwise you're going to have to find some way to cover up the interior, which is always a personal irritation. This seems like a step down from the Hallmark I used to know and love. The designs are also so-so. I think the marbled and the pink are very pretty, and I love that they go so well with each other (so you could use the pink as a bow for the marbled, if you want, or you can wrap a pile of packages so that they look matched without being identical). But the white grid seems extremely utilitarian and I'm struggling to think of what occasion I would really want to use that for -- engineering graduation day? -- perhaps a paper I would reach for only for a birthday gift for a family member after I'd already used up all my favorite papers and just needed something that would match a really colorful bow? And the kraft paper is also sadly practical without being fun. The stripes and the speckles land somewhere in the middle -- I wouldn't reach for the speckles first, but they do coordinate with the pink and the marbled for that same pile of coordinated gifts. The stripes suggest a confusing color-blindness on the part of the designer (again, not the Hallmark I knew and loved) but they're random and spontaneous enough that I'd be willing to use them for any occasion. I need half-stars to rate this. 3.5 stars. It's not as mediocre as 3 stars, because the paper itself is the weight and sturdiness I like and I will use most of them sooner or later, but it's not as solid as 4 stars suggest. If these designs speak to you more than they do me, and you're wrapping a bunch of unmarked gift boxes, go for it.

solid pink is sheer

The 6 roll pack stores nicely & well organized in it’s box. 3 rolls (marble, dots, pink designs) have a slight gloss/sheen. 3 rolls (stripe, square, cross designs) are not shiny and have the look and feel of paper. These rolls are slightly thicker than the 3 glossy rolls. Medium weight: not thin, and not as thick as premium paper. Positives: +. grid lines on back are very helpful, makes cuts quick + easy + colors are vivid and as pictured +. patterns are tasteful + sophisticated Negative: Solid pink paper is see thru. It’s not totally sheer, but high contrast colors and patterns underneath the paper are visible. No big deal if wrapping a plain box. This could be an issue if wrapping an item with writing or product images, which is how I noticed this. The other 5 rolls were fine and not see thru.

Elegant and beautiful

I simply cannot express enough how beautiful this color combination of wrapping paper truly is. Hallmark really hit the nail on the head with this one! The pinks and golds seen throughout the set really enhance the other colors found in each roll. You can pretty much mix-and-match to your heart's content with these, I don't think you can go wrong! The quality and durability of the material is definitely on-par with what one would expect from Hallmark, and the style and elegance of the design will surely impress anyone lucky enough to receive a gift wrapped in this artistry!

Decent paper to keep your gift wrapping station stocked

My wife is an avid gift wrapper. She always has a large stock of gift wrap close by. We appreciate the grid lines on the inside for cutting and the design can easily be paired with other designs together. The quality of the paper isn't the best but it's also far from horribly flimsy or cheap. The design is a little lackluster and unexcited and the paper quality could be better. If you just need some gift wrap to hold you over for the birthdays but you don't want to look super cheap, this gift wrap is the perfect option for you!

Upper quality wrapping paper, make the gifts look better than the dollar store paper

This paper is better quality than the inexpensive stuff I usually use from the dollar stores, thicker, can't see thru it, and I especially like the cutting patterns on the back to make it easier to cut a straight line, and when gifts are wrapped in it they even tend to look better than the cheaper paper

Good strong paper

This is much nicer than the flimsy paper I often and up fighting with when I wrap presents. This is much thicker and the cutting lines are a big plus. Not all the colors are exactly my style, but it’s nice to get an assortment to have on hand.
