Not bad
I honestly expected this to be just a bit more articulated. I didn't expect much paint or sculpt but its movement is too limited in the hips. The legs can't change how you can spread them and the cabin can't move up or down which honestly is too limitingfor the poses you can get. Other than that, it's a good release as it's huge.

Arms are not backwards, look closely
The arms are not backwards. It looks that way at first because the mantis arms are not like normal human arms. I'm telling you, look closely at how the picture looks with the rotating elbow in the very back. My kid likes it, it's pretty cool. It's a very large toy; the normal halo figure fits inside. The main body is about half the size of the Warthog and sits higher than a Warthog on end. One MAJOR criticism: WHY in the TECH are the FREAKING FEET so small??? They're tiny, like real praying mantis feet. Have you ever seen praying mantis feet? Maybe not, because they're so small. So the rather large and tall toy is not that stable due to having tiny little baby feet. It has normal arms and T-Rex feet. It's actually ridiculous this design was approved with those feet. Idk, but I hope this isn't canon because that would actually make canon stupid. If so, they should have broken from canon. That being said, it's not a deal breaker because there really aren't any alternatives.

Cheap and hollow plastic with misleading pictures. A better statue than a toy.
There hasn't been a construx Mantis on the market in a very long time so I settled for this when it went on two sales at once. And I'm glad I did because I would never have paid full price for this. To start with the limbs are all hollow with little in the way of structural reinforcement. A single fall off of a shelf will break this toy. Two of the joints were already damaged when it came out of the package just from how the factory put it together. There are multiple stress lines right out of the packaging. In addition the arms come backwards in the box. Even some of the pictures don't correct this, such as the first one on the listing with the figure standing at the feet of the Mantis. You need to completely spin them around and then flip the arms to make it look correct, and if you don't the arms will always look like they are too far out. I imagine a good deal of people have tried to push the weapons 'into place' and have broken the 'hands' entirely. The figure has decent articulation but the knife is fixed. It is not real and does not come out of the sheath, instead being a single, solid piece. It does fit well into the cockpit and the weapon fits well into the bag peg or in the hands. The figure can even stand on top of the Mantis with foot pegs just for that purpose. This is a cheap toy that is fairly overpriced, but with a little paint it looks pretty good. If you can purchase it for around 25 dollars or so that would be a good deal, but any more than that and you may feel let down. However it is not a good toy for any young child that would be rough on it.

Arms incorrectly assembled
Original ordered and 1 replacement had all backward installed arms. I would give 1 star except you can flip the arms around to make the toy able to be played with. My son does not care the shoulder blades are now backwards.

Durability
The limbs do not move easily, frustrating to my 7 year old.

Damaged packaging
Item inside is fine but the box was damaged and crushed in several places. It had also clearly been opened as the tape on the end had been cut.
