Size small used for small; 9lb dog. Once you figure out how to adjust it, it does work. However, the nose strap is thick. For a small dog, a thinner strap would be sufficient and less intrusive/easier for the dog to accept. The strap almost covers the entire snout of smaller breeds, making them more conscious of it continually, rather than just when they pull. Our dog was still able to freely bark, just not while pulling. He was also able to take treats, an important aspect of training. To adjust, the nose-loop should be pulled straight up from the buckle, with the part that adjusts hanging down. Slip over the nose, and adjust so that the collar is high on the neck and comfortably snug. If the collar is too low, the nose loop will easily be shaken or pawed off (At least in little dogs). To get the dog used to it at first, introduce the collar and offer a treat. Then put the treat so that the dog voluntarily sticks his nose through to get the treat. Repeat until you think you're going crazy :P It teaches the dog to associate the collar/head harness with rewards rather than fear. Please remember that this harness is only a tool to aid you while you work with your dog to overcome pulling/lunging issues. It doesn't take the place of desensitizing fearful or reactive dogs.

I use the head halter for my hound dog that is sensitive to collars that go around her neck - she can't stand neck collars of any kind, harnesses included, and goes into full-blown alligator death rolls! For some reason a head halter is acceptable and she walks freely with one. I like the head halter option - it is a gentle, non-painful, easy-to-control option for sensitive dogs and provides a friendly walk for both the dog and the owner! An affordable price with fast shipping through Amazon always helps and the product is high quality. I recommend this for "difficult walkers" or "sensitive necks."

It’s fits as expected. And my dogs used to pull non stop. With this is really helps! The clip is hard to use. But once you get a good fit you don’t need to mess with it anymore.

Great control for rambunctious dogs
Easy to use. Plastic clip can be fairly easily broken if dog is aggressive with trying to rub it off. 2nd one ive bought. Controls dog extremely well

Locking Clip Locked & bent
Pretty much the same as other dog leads except this one latched and now wont un-clip no matter what we do which means we have to always pull lead off the top of our dog's head.
