Let's Learn to Measure Activity Set provides a rich experience in understanding volume and fractional relationships through a variety of activities and manipulatives. Children will use the Rainbow Fraction Measuring Cups along with a Nestable Bucket Balance, and MathLink Cubes to learn about volume, weight, length, height, capacity, and more! These measuring cups all have the same radius so that they're equivalent proportions to their respective fraction sizes. This way kids can visually see the difference in the fraction sizes. For over 50 years, hand2mind has encouraged hands-on learning and discovery, driving deeper understanding and helping children unlock their full potential. Hand2mind specializes in math manipulatives designed to help students learn by doing. Particularly with fractions, our rainbow fraction tiles, rainbow fraction circles and rainbow fraction tower cubes make learning fractions as easy as learning the colors of the rainbow. From early math to middle school math, hand2mind has you covered with products designed to enhance learning in the classroom and the world around us. Through hands-on exploration and discovery we strive to find new ways to encourage students in math practice, literacy activities, STEM education and more!

Doesn't Move Between Inequality Symbols Automatically--I wish I'd Bought a Different Scale
We just received this today and it looks great and pretty durable for a plastic toy. I love the little 'extras' for measuring that it comes with (activity cards for measuring, fraction cup measures, and the cubes), so I give it credit for those, but it wasn't why I purchased it. I purchased this because I thought the scale would automatically shift from greater-than (>), equal (=), and less-than (<) symbols. Instead, I discovered that feature is something you have to do MANUALLY, which doesn't help me at all, because I wanted my daughter to learn this independently through play. (And now, when she DOES play independently, it will often show the inaccurate symbol for the relationship, which is probably detrimental to her learning!) If I'd known that I had to do it manually, I would have bought a different scale that I liked more and just created little cards to show the greater-than/equal/less-than symbols. I'm really disappointed this feature wasn't as expected and I am seriously considering returning this scale.

Leaky cups
My kid was so excited about this toy but once he started measuring liquids we noticed that both of the cups on the scale had a hole in the bottom. Big mess!

Kids loved it!
My boys really enjoyed playing with the learn to measure activity set. They liked trying to figure out how to balance the scale and I loved that they were using their critical thinking skills and learning while playing! The quality of the toy is great and worth the money spent.
