I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS! (Please Read)

I bought this shower head for my house and I was surprised by the performance. I will describe it this way. When a doctor squeezes the air out of a syringe and you see that tiny little stream of water from the tip. Imagine 60 of those and that would be the shower head. I was hoping for something that felt like rain, but instead, it was very little water at all. I imagine this is not the fault of Hansgrohe. I am sure they would love to provide a much more rewarding experience from their shower heads, but have to follow the current restrictions the are in place for the volume of water from a shower head. So here is what I would absolutely NOT recommend. I would NOT take a #2 Philips head screwdriver and I would NOT remove the screw from the green rubber insert in the face of the shower head. I would also NOT recommend removing the little black filter screen from the inlet tube on the screw thread on the rear of the unit. I would then NOT recommend taking a 3/16" drill bit and drilling out the restriction plate inside of the shower head. I would then NOT reassemble the shower head and install it in your shower. I am sure if you did that, you would void the warranty and probably notice a HUGE difference in the rain-like quality of the shower head. Someone that did that would probably love the shower so much they would run out of hot water every time they used the shower because it would be such a nice experience. So I definitely do NOT recommend doing any of that. Thank you for your time.

Makes a good spray. Well made.

I’ve three of these in a house we built in 2014. All are still in great shape. No corrosion, etc. We’ve hard water in north Texas which tends to corrode and clog shower heads. A couple of the spray holes on our most used head have partially clogged from time to time over the last seven years. Running a thumb nail over the clogged port is all that is needed to get it clear. I’m very happy with this shower head.

This shower head came on a Hansgrohe shower system we bought and I can't wait to replace it. Actually, I may do exactly what esteemed reviewer Henry G advised against, and haul out the drill. The shower head offers a very weak stream. Disappointing shower experience unless your goal is to save water.
