Nice Faucet But With Cheap Pull-Down Hose
I bought this faucet to replace a Grohe Ladylux Cafe that failed only after 9 years. While I loved, loved the looks of the Ladylux Cafe, it had some major problems. First, the handle started making a cracking noise when I turned it to change temperature and it would pop out frequently revealing the white plastic joint/turning mechanism (that was making the cracking noise) -- highly unsightly -- and you couldn't pop it back in and have it stay. So, the white plastic joint was showing most of the time -- major eyesore. Then the (non-replaceable) membrane over the button to change between regular stream and spray disintegrated into bits only after a year or so, exposing all the little plastic parts underneath. Every time I turned on the sprayer it bothered me a lot to be able to feel the eaten-away rubber membrane and plastic parts. So, after springing a major leak after 9 years, as pretty as it looked when all was going fine, the Ladylux Cafe faucet had to go and was not going to be replaced with another. So, I bought this Hansgrohe Talis C Prep faucet it its place. It's as pretty as the Ladyluxe Cafe I'd say, and looks very similar. The finish is like a brushed steel and goes with all of my brushed nickel hardware just fine. The handle is more modern looking, but that's okay with me. The size and proportions are pretty much the same. Thankfully, the turning mechanism looks like it's made out of metal, and it turns solidly and quietly - yay! The button to turn on the sprayer is made out of metal (or maybe hard plastic that looks like metal -- I can't tell 100%) which will never develop the problems of the membrane on the Ladylux. Here's the bad, and why I knocked off 1 star. The hose connected to the pull-down faucet head is made out of the cheap-looking stuff that is normally found underneath the sink and out of sight. Except here, when someone doesn't put the faucet head all the way back, you can see it in plain sight in the middle of your sink on what is supposed to be a focal point of your kitchen -- it really bothers me. On the Ladylux, that hose was covered in solid metal, and looked high quality. Of course, I make sure the head always goes back all the way up, so I don't have to see it, but I can't say the same for my husband and kids. Hansgrohe, why did you skimp on this one spot? (Well, I know it's to save money, but when we're paying this much for a faucet, you shouldn't cut corners on something like this.) It really takes away from this product's looks Also, as some have mentioned, once you press the button to spray, it's on spray until you turn it off. The good thing is that you don't have to keep the button pressed the entire time you are spraying, which I'm pretty sure we had to do with the Ladylux, but you can't toggle back and forth. It's not a big deal because I have it on spray 99% of the time, but still. My mom's $100 pull down faucet can toggle -- why not this one?

Nice looking high arc faucet
Nice looking high arc faucet. Of course needs regular wiping for water spots, but what brushed stainless look doesn't? A little more splash than I like, but overall a solid faucet with a contemporary look with my black sink. Also- a bit different hot/cold lever position- straight up for hot and pull forward for cold, but you get used to it. Can change to sprayer from single stream with button on sprayer head, but need to turn off the faucet to return to the single stream. I have had faucets in the past where the button will switch it back and forth from stream to spray. I would prefer that, but once again, not such a big deal that I can't get over it. Just more wet hands on the faucet lever though! Something to be aware of- After purchasing on Amazon (around $280), I saw what looked to be the same faucet at Costco for about $75 less from the price I paid. It turns out it is the very same EXCEPT Costco faucet has low flow. So when some people say it doesn't spray strong that is probably why. Some plumbers might be able to remove the low flow ring thing for you. But the one I got on Amazon, was the regular flow (2.2 or something like that).

nice looking, could be better for the $$$
decent faucet, very nice aesthetics. I do not like the fact that for a $370 faucet you can't just turn the spray feature on and off with the button. once the sprayer is engaged you need to turn the faucet off to go back to a regular water stream, annoying. also I'm going to add photos here to a problem that a lot of people seem to have and hopefully help clear it up. there is a threaded fastener attached to the nozzle that becomes loose every once in a while and leaves a gap, you should be able to easily hand tighten it and fix the gap. if that's not the problem that people are describing, then you need to adjust the counterweight under the sink so that the weight pulls your nozzle back into a locked position. I hope these pictures help solve the problems that people are having. good luck all.

Nice, big & high quality Talis C
The faucet arrived in perfect condition and I got a great price on it on Amazon. It is really heavy & well made, top quality. Been using it lightly for a couple weeks and I really like it. I had read that if you swivel it to the side it comes back slightly...I know now what that means and it does do that a little but I really don't see how it could be a problem. I have a huge 36" sink though, maybe in a small sink this could be a problem if you really need to get the arc out of your way. I'm still adjusting to the feel of the handle on the side, but I'm sure in time it will feel like second nature. It looks great with my big sink, very satisfied with this purchase!

Love that the handle returns to the base and stays ...
Love that the handle returns to the base and stays put. It doesn't hang down a small distance like the previous faucet it replaced. (Be forewarned however, mine went into a granite countertop and after removing the old faucet and handle that were in separate holes in the granite, I had to locate someone through a granite company to come and redrill the hole a bit bigger to accommodate this faucet's insertion! Seems years ago, the granite countertop holes weren't all of the same diameter! It was about a $150 fix to accommodate that.) In terms of the faucet itself, I'm loving it and am not bothered by the fact that you have to shut it off if you wish to switch from regular dispensing of water to a spray and want to switch back again.

Hansgrohe products are great!
Bought for a customer. I’ve always been extremely happy with hansgrohe faucets. Definitely has some weight to it which leads me to Believe it’s solid brass.
