I didn't have many top water lures. So I got one of the best. The Super Spook catches fish when they are tuned into topwater lures. Looks good. Colors make it stand out. Highly recommend.

A MUST Have In The Tackle box!

I do a lot of bass fishing in Florida. Many times I'm not convinced that a name brand is better than a lesser known brand. However, when it comes to the Heddon Super Spook, there is just something about it that gets fish. When I'm kayak fishing, there is limited space and you have to pick your lures carefully. This one makes it in the box every single time. Performs incredibly, the hooks are high quality, exterior holds up forever etc. As a typical fisherman, lures seem to accumulate ????. And I do love ttowater fishing.. The Heddon super spook is my go-to topwater. I have not received anything for this review.

Catches fish!

Great top water popper for largemouth. Caught quite a few with it so far. This is the first one the first few casts!

Super Spooks don't spook fish; they drive them crazy.....

I have a myriad of different super spooks and I have to say it's a really fun lure to fish with. I've mostly been using the super spooks in the surf (believe it or not), and have caught some pretty aggressive stripers with them so far. Fun lure to fish, and there's a "Method" to them, in that you want to learn "The walk" when you retrieve them. It drives fish mad and even in the surf I get hits. I typically wait for the first breaker to break (usually a good sized one) then you have some nice still water for a bit. Fire it out there... do "The Walk", if there's predatory fish in that close they're gonna take notice to it. I have yet to try them in a large reservoir where Stripers are present, I have a feeling they'll produce results. I also use the angler clips so I can change patters out quickly while I'm on the beach. You also have to beware of birds, cause they can see these a mile away and they swoop down on them if you're not careful, so stay alert (for coastal surf fishing that is). But so far they cast great, they alert fish and it's a lot of fun to fish with a top water lure in the Surf.

Why is my lure sinking? Its supposed to be the best walker in the game but it literally *sink* :( I was really looking forward to the topwater season for smallies coming up!
