HIC Bar’s Bamboo Muddler mashes and crushes fruits, spices and herbs to infuse delicious flavors, aromas and essential oils into favorite beverages and cocktail recipes. Muddle mojito ingredients in just a few seconds, or mint for Mint Juleps, ginger root for Ginger Rogers, sugar cane syrup for Caipirinhas, a bitter and sugar cube for an Old Fashioned, and limes for Sazerac for Bésame. Won’t scratch delicate surfaces. The rounded handle allows for a comfortable grip. It will quickly become a go-to bar accessories. Perfect for the occasional sipper of summer cocktails or the year-round mixologist. Compact enough to store with other bar supplies. Simply place ingredients to be muddled in the bottom of a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker. A glass that’s too thin could break. Hold the muddler by the handle and press down lightly, giving the ingredients a few gentle twists until juices run from the fruit or the air takes on an herby aroma, depending on the ingredients. Over-muddling herbs can cause cocktails to taste bitter or ‘grassy’. HIC’s Bamboo Muddler allows complete control over the quality and results of each cocktail. The textured end easily extrudes juice from firmer fruits, like cherries or citrus, releases flavorful fragrances from aromatic spices, and gently extracts the essential oils from delicate mint leaves and other herbs. Made from 100-percent natural bamboo, HIC’s Bamboo Muddler is lightweight, durable, and will not scratch surfaces. Bamboo is an extremely strong, durable, fast-growing grass that’s less absorbent than wood, yet strong like steel. Its roots self generate without replanting making it a fully sustainable and renewable alternative to traditional materials to create environmentally friendly products for more sustainable living practices. Hand wash only, no soap. Brought to you by HIC-Harold Import Company.

Measures 8.5-inches; rounded handle is comfortable to hold; easy to use; hand wash in warm, soapy water. Muddle minty mojitos and Juleps, sugarcane syrup for Caipirinhas, bitters and a sugar cube for Old Fashioneds, limes for Sazerac for Bésame, and more. Textured end extrudes juice from firmer fruit, like cherries and citrus, and gently muddles delicate ingredients, like mint and herbs. Made from 100-percent natural bamboo; renewable, fast-growing, environmentally friendly alternative to traditional materials for sustainable living. HIC Bar’s Bamboo Muddler mashes and crushes fruits, spices and herbs to infuse flavors, aromas and essential oils into favorite beverages.

Excellent Muddler
I bought this wooden muddler for making some coctails at the house. This muddler is made from FSC-certified beech wood local to the Czech Republic and is varnish-free coating meaning no chemicals or unwanted flavors transfer into your drinks. The first thing I did when I received the wooden muddler was get a one gallon ziplock bag and some mineral oil and put the muddler in the bag with the oil for the muddler to soak up the oil. This will help protect the wood from drying out and resist other substances from soaking into the wood. If you dont have mineral oil you can use vegetable oil, coconut oil, canola oil, etc. The wood has a nice finish and appearance. The wood is solid. I would recommend this wooden muddler to anyone who likes to make cocktails and doesnt already have a muddler. It will take your cocktails to the next level I like to use the muddler to muddle up some fresh mint and limes when making a mojito or whatever. When you muddle herbs it releases the oils and flavors and gives your cocktail a more pungent.

Enjoy "Muddling" your way around!
There are some drinks that do not require much hardware or equipment. You can just measure, pour, and mix. Something like a Jack Daniels Old-Fashion, or one of those fruity summer cocktails, is quite different. At minimum, you have the slice of orange and the cherries (and maybe other things like mint or spices) you have to "muddle" or you have to combine ingredients in the bottom of a cocktail glass. For this you need a muddle! I already own a heavy dutyKegWorks Wooden Cocktail Bar Muddler , which I think is about the best out there! However, it does not work in all (smaller) glasses. It is simply too big. I suppose none of them are perfect. So, I bought this smaller unfinished wooden one to solve that problem. Compare withOenophilia Wooden Muddler orDrink Muddler, Stainless Steel Mojito Bar Tool with Nylon Tip . I guess I would call this heavy duty for smaller glasses.

Perfect size for packing stuff into quart jars
This is a bit small as the description says, but I find it perfect for packing stuff in quart size jars, which is what I mostly do. It is smooth, no imperfections. I do recommend oiling it before the first usage, which I did. If you are making kraut by the gallon, this will probably be too small for you. I use it on quart jars and it works perfectly for me.

Long, durable muddler
This is perfect for mashing limes and mint for mojitos. It is a good length and reaches to the bottom of my pitcher. Only issue is that the wood is a bit rough to the hand, but I may give it a quick sand to take care of that.

Great quality
Great quality and the handle is long enough to reach into glasses and muddle ingredients easily. Very happy with this purchase for the price!

Solid muddler, stains easily, still happy with it
This was my first muddler, so I picked the cheapest, well-reviewed one I could find. It is excellent so far. An item of note: the wood stains really easily, so if you're muddling bitters the wood will become orange-y after a few uses. Other than that, the weight feels great and I am really happy with this purchase.
