Why do things in black always seem a size smaller?

I bought this, as I have other hats like this one, in other colors and like them. I hate the adjustable straps that never seem to fit right and always break, so these stretchy ballcaps are the next best thing to a fitted ball cap. I wanted a black one, and it's a nice hat. That said, it does fit a bit snugger than the ones I have in other colors.

Great hat, quality control lacking

Really love the hat itself, but the first one that I received had a defect in its manufacturing. Notice the arrow in the first picture pointing to the big bulge on the side of the hat. The stitching was such that it caused the hat to be deformed and really weird looking with the bulge. I returned and ordered another one which fit much better as you can see in the second picture. The hat is very nice and soft material, fits well even on my smaller head, but beware getting a bad one.

Elastic band doesn’t hold up

I really like these hats. I have the green camo, the tan and the black. I like the no top button look. I like that they fit my big head. I have a lot of folks comment on the hats. There’s a lot to like about these caps but the elastic band in the rim doesn’t hold up. Two months of intermittent use and it’s stretched out to the point of falling off if I bend over or blown off in a light gust. My head is big, which is why I bought these hats to begin with, but it’s only a 7&1/2. There a real need to put in a better elastic system or material. I plan to contact Highland also.

Awesome hat

Love this hat. It fits great and is amazing. I wish it came in a box and not an envelope. The hat git smashed is the mail. I got it back to it's shape.

I have to admit, I was leary to purchase this hat but I am so glad I did. My husband and is normally a L/XL for hats and this fits his head. The stretch material makes this hat fit any size head. Well made!!!
