PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Miller Automatic Twist-Lock Steel Carabiners offer safe, secure attachments for workers-at height. The spring-loaded keeper allows for quick engaging and disengaging, and the one-inch gate provides easy access. The double-locking mechanism features twist locks at both ends of the steel carabiner to ensure secure attachment. Made of forged alloy steel for strength, the twist-lock carabiner is also plated with zinc dichromate to resist rust and corrosion. Safe for heavy weights and workers, the safety carabiner is proof tested to 3,600 lbs. (16kN). The minimum tensile strength is 5,000 lbs. (22.2kN), and the maximum working load is 400 lbs. (181kg). The Miller fall protection equipment meets or exceeds OSHA 1926.502, ANSI Z359-2007 and CSA Z259.12 requirements. WARNING: Carabiner must be closed and locked prior to use. Inspect before each use. It's a 400lb caribiner

It's a twist-lock, so it require some manual dexterity, but not as much as a twist-and-clamp lock: It twists easily and holds firm. The weight rating is good for a 100-200lb person, if you fall any distance at all, and its designed for fall protection, so that's good. I've yet to fall, so I don't know how it would really be in a clinch, but you could easily test it a little at a time if you aren't confident.
