Woks well, not extremely versitile.

Very nice vacuum. It excels on carpets, good, but not great on non carpeted surfaces. The distance between the floor and the vacuum head is small. Un popped pop corn just gets knocked around, not sucked up. Would prpbable work if the kernel were on a carpet. The head is a bit taller than some other vacuums, so it doesn't get under furniture with a small distance between the floor and the furniture. I took it to my office with VERY short carpet and some throw rugs, and it works GREAT!!!! Very good suction.

Impressed!

I own two of the Hoover Linx vacuum cleaners. I have one for upstairs and one for downstairs. Both have lasted for many years. The older model (the 2 I own) are perfect. No huge bells or whistles. Just a great day-to-day vacuum. My downstairs linx started to have issues with the traction roller. I played around with it a bit. I just decided to buy a new one. I was disappointed the model was changed, but WOW…very impressed! It works just as well but has a light so u can see what you are about to vacuum. My floors were far dirtier than I thought. Mopping issue not a vacuum issue. Now, I vacuum all the time. The added light made something just perfect even better. Could not be more pleased. The only criticism I can offer is that the power button is located on the top of the handle where you hold it. The buttons are too close to the handle. I accidentally turn it off all the time. Not a big issue though.

I have now purchased 3 of these vacs. We have two at our own house and purchased one for our sons home. The only thing I wish it had was a LIGHT on the front. I miss having a vac with a light. Works well. Is very light, swivels and collapses to reach under and around.

Overall good vacuum, poor bateries, lasted 2 years

We used this vacuum daily for about 2 years before it completely died. The plastic hose between the brush head and the motor fell apart in multiple spots. The original battery died after just a few months of use and the replacement batteries are junky; constantly having to fiddle with them to get them to work. Overall happy with the vacuum, but wish it would have lasted a little longer.

Light and easy to maneuver

We have 5 dogs and i use this daily to keep the pet hair under control and it does a fantastic job. Easy to empty, lightweight, good suction. I don’t love that you have to take the battery on/off instead of just docking it like other vacuums I’ve had, but it’s a minor inconvenience because overall I love it.

Finally, a cordless that competes with a corded model

This is at least my 6th cordless vac. Until now, none worked as well as a corded model. BRUSH - This unit has 3 brush modes - off for bare floors, on for bare floors, and full-throttle for carpet. The carpet mode also usually gets gunk stuck in floor tile grout too. Being light and not bulky, it easily gets under beds and tables. BATTERY - This vac runs longer because it has a rather large battery. Like other Hoovers, the battery is replaceable, because it must be removed to be charged. I can do our 2600 sqft house on one charge. EMPTYING - Unlike many cordless vacs, this one is easy to empty. Push 1 button to remove, hold over the trashcan and push a button to open the door to empty - then just snap it back in place and you are ready to go.

Money well spent

I work cleaning rental homes. I don’t always have power or electricity while cleaning so I bought this so I could vacuum if needed. I do not regret this purchase at all. The canister is huge compared to most cordless vacuums and is very easy to empty. At home I have 4 dogs, this vacuum even gets all that dog hair. It’s so easy to use my kids now vacuum once a day.

4 cats, 1 dog, and 2feet of gray hair

My hair hasn't been cut in over 3 years and is now 2 feet long; add 4 cats and a dog... and my house is one giant hair ball. This vacuum just barely keeps up. However, it works better than my 35-year-old Hoover. I'd recommend it to anyone with pets, a reasonable number.

Great cordless option for carpets

Pros: - has great suction and works really well on carpets (and my couch), especially for a cordless vac - holds charge well (35 minutes) - battery is removable and can be charged separately than the vaccuum - stands upright (no need for a wall mount) - easy to clean (washable filter, easy to remove beater bar) - cannister holds a lot! Cons - not great in corners, since this vacuum doesn't come apart into a hand vac like a lot of cordless stick vacuums, it misses hard to reach places. I've had to get a second hand vac for things like this - no light - it's pretty loud

I love this vacuum.

I have four different vacuums and this is by far my favourite. It is light weight, maneuvers well, holds a lot of dust and dirt, empties easily (no bags) and picks up my dogs hair well. That said, his hair is long so I do untangle it from the brush bar whenever I dump the vacuum, but that’s to be expected and is the same with other brush bar vacuums.I find the charge lasts long enough for me to do a quick vacuum on two floors. The battery charges fast and pops in and out easily. It picks up on hardwood and my low pile carpet well. That said this doesn’t have the heavy duty carpet cleaning suction of larger plugin vacuums but will still pick up quite a lot is sand, dog hair, dirt and Cheerios. I’m very happy with this purchase.

I have a cat and I vacuum with this Hoover everyday and it does wonder on carpets. Very good suction.

BEST VACUUM I HAVE EVER PURCHASED.

I have owned a Dyson "corded" vacuum, and it was quite good, but I have to say that this particular "cordless" Hoover vacuum is the best purchase I have ever made. It comes with two batteries, and it takes quite a while to exhaust one battery. I rarely write reviews, and would likely not have written this one without an email request to rate product. This vacuum is worth every penny. It goes from carpeting to hard wood floors in an instant Other amazing features are that it is not noisy, it is extremely easy to detach and empty the bin & there is an indicator that lets you know status of the battery. I absolutely love this vacuum and highly recommend it. Bonnie
