Assemble while on ground first hang last.

The fan is a excellent and is quiet. Installing the fan was a little difficult because I believe the instructions are mixed up in a bad order. I would suggest assembling this unit on the ground as much as possible as the connecting light housing to the motor mount can be difficult while already hanging in mid-air. I suggest putting on four of the five blades while on a table or ground then once you hang it on the ceiling you can easily do your wire plugs then close up the wire shroud on the roof. Install The Last Blade and step down from your ladder. I did all the instructions as the company recommended in their order and my shoulders and arms were toast at the end because assembly was done in midair when it could have been preassembled and then mounted on the ceiling bracket. I love the hunter brand this one did not come with a remote I don't know why even though it said it did however I was replacing an old Hunter Fan and was able to use the old remote module that is inside of the harness shroud on the roof near the Mount everything works exceptionally well the lighting is very good as these are LED bulbs that are full size. The fan blades look really great and the noise level is very low the air movement is more than enough for a large bedroom. I reused a 2 ft extension pole from my last unit and this helped my insulation goes smoother.

Light looks absolutely terrible when on

Installation was a pain because there's a tiny screw you have to somehow squeeze through the big knot of wires that is the light assembly to secure it to the fan section. I ended up taping it to the tiny screw to the tip of a screwdriver and I finally got it in place. Then I get it all assembled and the moment of truth when I flipped the light on and saw how awful the light looks when lit. It looks nothing like the product photos. The lights really aren't very bright either so it's not like a dimmer will mitigate the effect. Very disappointed!

lights need improving

the two light bulbs stand out strongly when turned on thought would be an overall glow to the whole light but isn't a great look to be honest

Light is very difficult to attach

Good looking and quiet fan. Does not move much air compared to the fan it replaced. Light was extremely difficult to attach because wiring harness was in the way and hard to see holes. Poor design. Suggest assembling light prior to mounting as it would have been much easier

Smells

The fan comes out of the box smelling bad - the plastic knob on the downrod smells bad, the fan blades smell bad, and when you run the motor it smells bad. The official hunter advice is to run the fan continuously for 24 hours and see if that helps.

This does not appear to work if your electrical box is mounted via hanger bars. Of course, I can't say for certain, because when I reached out to Hunter's technical support, I got the incredibly unhelpful response of "we can only advise you to install the fan according to the manual, which states to install the fan into a ceiling outlet box." First of all, that's a complete lie because I'm looking at the manual right now, and it literally describes using wood screws THAT ARE INCLUDED to secure the fan to joists and NOT the outlet box. But okay, whatever. So I asked again if they could please just confirm the fan works with electrical boxes mounted via hanger bars, you'll never guess the response: "We can only recommend you install the fans according to the manual. Our fans are designed to be installed onto a ceiling outlet box." In short, if there's even the slightest chance you might need an ounce of customer service, you better buy a different brand because you're not going to get it from Hunter.

Looks too bulky for 8 feet ceiling, wobbling in high speed, lights glowing uneven. Over-priced fan!
