Great hat, just buy it

I originally found this hat for my son (in a different print) in a secondhand shop and it’s such a great hat: lightweight, dries quickly when wet, adjustable, looks just about brand new after months of use, and my son actually wore it! When it got lost at daycare, I already knew I was going to replace with the same hat- didn’t have the shark/whale print of the previous hat, but this works. I would 100% recommend this hat.

Go-to hat! Love it!

This hat is absolutely amazing. My son had been using it for months and he loves it :) when I purchased the hat, I bought it in two sizes, worried that it might run small; it is however true to it's size and child's age. This is the hat that we've taken on vacation and we use on an every day basis. It does an excellent job of protecting my baby's face from the sun; as baby sunscreen is not my best friend at the time due to how difficult it is to apply. This had does provide a sufficient amount of spf protection and in the 4 months of using it, my baby had never gotten burned. The designs on the hat are absolutely adorable, and go with a lot of outfits. The hat is light, yet well made (baby's head won't sweat in it, unlike some other hats). The best feature of this hat is that it ties on the bottom, so my 10 month old has a hard time taking it off and throwing it on the ground ;)

Successful sun protection

I love the octopus pattern of this hat! My toddler has worn it almost every day of the summer and it is showing no signs of wear/tear. He definitely has room to grow with it but the slightly large size has not been an issue; in fact, it probably helped provide better protection for his face and neck. He wouldn't tolerate having the string tied tightly under his chin, so we've tied it low so it hangs loosely but keeps the hat around his neck if the wind catches it. My only issue with the hat is that it is pretty light weight and does blow off easily in the wind. BUT, the light weight material dries very quickly when wet, and I wouldn't want to compromise the area of protection by having a smaller, tighter-fitting or heavier weight material... SO, I would definitely recommend this product to a friend. Plus, I recently discovered that there are toddler swim trunks with a built-in swim diaper in matching material! That may be my next purchase...

Great Hat and Sun Protection

My son actually agreed to wear this hat which was a huge win. I think it's becaue he liked the turtles on it so the design was helpful to me. The brim is wide enough to give shade on his face. However he doesn't love having the brim out over his face so I flipped it up a bit but even then he is getting some shade which is great. The hat also washes well which is helpful. One note on the fit of the hat...my son is almost 3 and his head size is in the 90th percentile. This hat definitely has some room for his head to grow but still fits well enough where it's not falling off. However, if you have a child with a head on the smaller size, I would recommend sizing down. This is the reason I gave it four instead of five stars. It would be nice if it was just a bit smaller for him.

Order a smaller size!

This is huge! I bought a size 2-4 for my younger son who is 18 months thinking that he would be able to use it this summer and next - but its way too big for him. I will use it for my almost 4 year old - it's actually probably too big for him, but you can tie the string so I guess it should be fine. It also has a nice inner lining that should keep his head cool. It seems to be good quality so i think it'll last a summer or two and the print (sharks) is bright and looks very cute. I didnt have the issue that other people had with the wrong pattern showing up! I ordered the smaller size for my younger son so hopefully that will fit!

Great overall sun hat

After reading reviews we decided to get the 0-6 month size because a lot of people mentioned it's larger. Our son has a large head but this is still big on him with room to grow. He is 7.5 months now and I think we will get use of this at least all summer, maybe even longer. The quality is great and there is no tags which is always a bonus. It's super light weight as well. The only other problem is that since it's a bit larger the rim will cover baby's eyes which he doesn't like. After some adjusting that can be overlooked though. Great overall sun hat.

Great Hat

As far as a bucket hat would go, this is pretty much exactly what we wanted. Our little guy is too young for sunscreen so we needed something to keep the sun out of his face and this does the job. Washes easily, didn't fall apart in the washing machine. It is softer than I thought it would be, so that is an unexpected plus. Astronauts are awesome so you can't go wrong there. I think I am going to order the one with Orca's in the next size up as well because this one works out so well. Orcas and Astronauts are in my list of favorite things, so it is like they know exactly what I want.

Sized large, otherwise really cute sun hat!

Exactly as pictured. Love the pirate ship pattern. The hat is lightweight with a mesh lining, polyester I believe. Bought it for my 3 year old. The fit is quite large and a bit floppy. My 5.5 year old with a big head is even able to wear it. But the hat sits in such a way that it still fits both of them. It has a very wide brim and would provide tons of sun protection. Definitely looks more like a baby hat, which is maybe why my three year old refuses to wear it. Disappointed bc otherwise it was a good sun hat.
