Was curious to try it, glad I did.
Negative reviews inspired me to buy this and try it for myself. I read what seemed like A LOT of negative reviews for this recycled aluminum foil. Mostly from unhappy customers who couldn't believe the flimsiness of it... I definitely had to purchase it for myself after all the comments on how thin and useless it was to them. I'm happy I did! I didn't want to use it for cooking, mind you. I bought it because I thought if it was REALLY thin enough, it'd be useful as a tool for highlighting/coloring hair. All I have to do is tear off the amount I need, tear it in half, and BOOM: Hair Foils (recycled aluminum hair foils, heh). I had no interest on splurging for a big ol' box of pre-cut packaged foils made for salon use... I just wanted something to experiment with, and reading previous reviewers complaints gave me the perfect idea to use this as a substitute. Also, I feel good about buying this instead because it's recycled. Maybe you can find a unique way to use it too, if it doesn't hold up to your cooking needs! :) Quick summary of PROS: ✪ You get a decent amount of product for the price -- Comparable to store-bought brand prices. NOTE: The thinness of the foil is deceptive when you first open the box, don't worry about how small the roll looks, there's a lot tightly wrapped up in there! ✪ Works great as a hair foil substitute for bleaching/coloring/highlighting. Tried and tested, very easy to work with. ✪ Good for light duty cooking/baking needs (I wouldn't try to lift anything heavy using only the foil for support). Makes a great liner for pans and baking sheets though. ✪ Cardboard serrated edge -- depending on your personal preference, this detail can be a good or bad thing. Personally, I like tearing from a cardboard edge because it's much less likely I'll cut or scratch my hands on cardboard vs a serrated metal edge. After a few pulls, the cardboard points are still sharp, too.

BEST OF VALUE AND USEAGE
I REALLY LIKE THIS FOIL VERY MUCH! NOT WHAT I EXPECTED TO BE FOR VALUE AND IS EASY TO HANDLE AND USE FOR ANY PURPOSE. BETTER THAN BRAND NAMED AND THE SAME QUALITY AND PURPOSE!

Difficult to Tear, Expensive
The problem here is that the tear teeth are made of cardboard and is quite ineffective. The foil itself is super shiny, thick enough, and seems to work just like regular foil. Would not have bought this if the cheaper option was in stock.

It works just fine and you're not hurting the environment so much so ...
If you care enough to buy recycled then it's a small adjustment to get used to the different weight of this product. It works just fine and you're not hurting the environment so much so win wins everywhere

Too thin
Way too thin.

Good. Just a tad thinner
Great and I feel better about using something more environmentally friendly. Keep in mind that it's a little thinner than the traditional foils.
