Great for heartworm positive dog.

I love this hoodie which I am using while my new dog goes through heartworm treatments. I like the protection for him from any new mosquito bites but I also really like it to help prevent the spread of heartworms. (For as long as the worms in a dog have created microfilaria that are still alive, the dog will be capable of spreading heartworm disease through being bitten by mosquitos that incubate the microfilaria and then infect another dog. I really don't wish heartworms on another dog! The treatment is not fun and the worms are very damaging.) The fit is not perfect as my dog is not a perfect shape being a mix. But it is good enough and it is comfortable even in this hot weather we are having. He is wearing it 100% of the time. We have discovered that briefly pulling up the back end of the hoodie is helpful while he pees so he doesn't get the bottom wet....

Works well so far.

The jacket is made of t- shirt material, but has held up well. So far it seems to keep the mosquitoes away. I would give it five stars, but I do not know how it will work on deer/horse flies. Our 1 year old lab doesn't mind wearing it, but the hood is useless for her as it doesn't stay put. It is great while fishing as this is when the flying bugs can be a real problem. I havent had it fully submerged it (dog swimming in it) yet to see if it stills keeps bugs away, but it isnt designed for that. I would recommend it for fall use too as it is orange, so hunters can see the dog. I think they have a mesh version now too.

I bought the Med. Hoodie for both my babies because I don't have a need for topicals buts want to protect them from all bugs, but mosquitos in particular. I live in a heavily wooded area and thought I would try this out, since it's protections is when I put the hoddies on them. I will say, this product is AMAZING! I've purchased shirts for myself with Columbia and thought if it worked for me, it will work for my babies and more importantly, it's SAFE!

Insects repelled

My small dog was getting eaten alive with mosquitos an gnats an having grass allergies in S C while at our beach property causing him to itch continuously..I bought this to help relieve some of the itching and it did as well as keep the bugs away..so nice product would buy again..
