Pleasantly surprised

I am so far very pleased with this mixer. At less than half the price, this mixer contends easily with the Professional KitchenAid mixer. Same wattage power, but far lighter, and a better design. The digital touchpad operation is INSPIRED. I hope it lasts a long time and doesn't start to glitch, but other than that possible issue in the future, as for now, it is so much easier than pushing the crank to change gears on my old KitchenAid. The whisk attachment is nice. I do notice it doesn't work that well for small amounts, like a little batch of frosting for cinnamon rolls. Bigger quantity is more suited to the size of the bowl. But it still works and I'm satisfied, even if I have to scrape the sides of the bowl a bit. The dough hook is great. I'm THRILLED with the design, as I don't need to worry about the dough climbing up the hook and getting smooshed into the coil that holds the attachment on. The dough guard keeps all that climbing dough down. Brilliant. I have made a double batch of enriched sandwich bread in it and had zero issues with the mixer walking across the counter or shaking or overheating. I love that I can use the timer setting to knead my dough for a set time, and then it shuts off automatically. It's so user friendly. I love this mixer and want to give it a name because I already feel like it's a dear friend. Haven't thought of one yet, but I will. Maybe Jeeves or Wilfred. He gives me butler vibes. Trusty, selfless butler who just wants to make your life easier. I love the look, I love the ease of use and cleaning. I love the suction cup feet! Lights yet stable. Wonderful design. I have a feeling this mixer will go up in popularity and in price in the near future. If you're hesitating on buying this and you're considering the Professional KitchenAid mixer, save your money and get this. I can't get over how much more I love this thing than I loved my KA mixer. Lastly, the metal attachments appear sturdy. The paddle is a little basic looking, but gets the job done. There is some plastic at the base of the whisk attachment, which I think should be metal, but as whisks are used for lighter batters, whipped cream, etc., I don't think this will decrease the longevity of the whisk much.

Powerful!

So I have 2 Kitchen Aid mixers that could not handle mixing a double batch of Christmas Cookies. Even 1 batch was a chore for them. This mixer however, is the BOMB! It’s easy to set up, easy to run and has a ton of power! I have never had to go past power level 5. I use this mixer for bread dough, pizza dough, double batches of cookie dough. I love it so much, I’m going to give my 2 other mixers to my children.

I love this machine!

The media could not be loaded. Best mixer I have ever used, and I'm 66 and have a stand mixer most of my life! I made a chocolate cake and didn't have to scrape the sides or bottom of the bowl. Made frosting using the regular beater, not the whisk and the only place I found not ant frosting not completely blended was a small amount on the beater. This was frosting using regular granulated sugar blended with butter and vanilla and then adding cooking flour and milk. When it's not completely blended you can feel the sugar crystal, when blended it is smooth like whipped cream. Finally, I made a bread recipe using 6 cups bread flour, 1 cup milk. 1 1/4 cup milk, 2 teaspoons salt, 2 TBS sugar, 1 TBS yeast and 2 TBS oil using only the dough hook. It worked perfectly. The dough did not climb above the circle thing. Not one problem. The ingredients stayed in the bowl. The attachments are stainless steel. It doesn't say what the whisk is, but I believe it is stainless too, only it has a plastic top. It says to wash the plastic splatter guard by hand, but it appears to be the same material as my Cuisinart one was and I washed that one in the dishwasher. All the beaters can be washed in the dishwasher. I bought this one through Amazon warehouse and so was a bit leary. However, this machine is definitely a keeper. I love it. Update. I still love this machine. One question people asked was how large of a batch can it handle. Both last night and this morning I made a bread roll recipe that used 12 cups of flour and 4 1/2 cups of milk/water. Mixer had no problems. I do think this would be the largest I would try.

Beating Kitchenaid right now.

The media could not be loaded. I took a chance on this mixer because KitchenAid quality is really sliding these days. My $600 special edition KA mixer can't knead 1 loaf's worth of bread dough for 10 minutes without becoming super-hot to the touch and I was entirely over it. This mixer has it beat, hands down. It kneads well (love that it's more of a spiral dough hook rather than a nearly useless c-hook!), I don't have to do a ton of bowl scraping and it can go 15 minutes and barely be warm. It's great for thicker cookie doughs, you name it, and the larger bowl capacity seems to be good even for mixing smaller batches. I really wasn't expecting to be as impressed as I turned out to be in the end as I've always been a KitchenAid girl, but this one is my new go-to for just about everything now. Really great for the price! I'm just hoping they will release extra parts (bowls, dough hooks etc.) for purchase soon because as much baking as I do, I really need to have more than one of each piece. The only other thing I don't love really is the electronic controls. I prefer knobs because they're quick and easy to use without having to look at the display to make sure you're pushing the right button when turning the speed up or down or turning it on and off. I also don't care for the auto off function. If you don't have the head tilted up, it will shut itself off very shortly if there's a pause in your mixing. But these aren't major deal breakers for me. Overall, a really great mixer!
