Nicely detailed, solidly built collectible for the sci-fi/fantasy vehicle collector.
I have been putting together a small collection of 1/18 & 1/24 die-cast replicas of famous cars from ERTL & JADA (Speed Racer's Mach-5, Racer-X's Shooting Star, the 1966 Batmobile, Ghostbusters' ECTO-1, etc.) and the DeLorean Time Machine was a logical addition to my fleet. I received the BTTF Part 3 vehicle (the one with the white wall tires) as a gift last Christmas and after looking at the package was surprised to see that there were a total of 4 versions of the Time Machine released, one for each film, except for Part 3 which has the white-wall tire version and one with the railroad wheels. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the vehicle from BTTF Part 2 sports wheels that can be manually flipped horizontally to simulate the 'hover' configuration. It is even mounted in above the inner surface of the box in a 'nose-up' orientation and with the wheels flipped down to suggest levitation. This works well for those who intend to display their vehicles in the box. Both Time Machines I now own are built solidly. The body is all die-cast metal finished to look like the DeLorean's stainless steel body. The gull-wing doors are die cast as well. Both doors open and the hinges have more than tight enough to sllow the doors to be displayed open at any angle. Unlike most other JADA vehicles, the hood does not open, though this is not a concern. The wheels spin freely, and in the case of the Part 2 vehicle, the hinges to flip the wheels from 'hover' to 'drive' are also hold the wheels rigidly in place however they are configured. The Part 2 & 3 vehicles both display the futuristic silver & orange bar-code license plate while the Part 1 vehicle has the California "OUTATIME" plate. The under-carriage of the vehicles are black plastic. The battery cover is located here. The blue light features on the front and rear of the vehicles are activated by the press of a button on top of the rear detailing and remain on for 10 seconds. The 'greeblies' on the rear of the vehicles (reactor, exhaust vents, etc.) are highly detailed and appear screen-accurate, including the white "Mr. Fusion" tower on the Part 2 & 3 vehicles. The logo printing is small but readable. I do not recommend this vehicle for play, particularly not for small children. This is a collectible and should be used for display only. Perfect for shelf or showcase display, or for desk/office 'swag'. This a well-built, highly detailed collectible. JADA has done a great job on this and other vehicles.

Doc!!!
I don’t know why or how but my 8 year old boy somehow became a fan of Back to the Future somehow. Big fan of the time machine now. So naturally I got him this car at his request. It’s metal and durable. Has a cool blue light which works. Has a lot of small details that could make this a display piece if you’re into that. This one is for play. The wheels do turn in so it can go into “fly” mode. A pretty good buy for the price as it’s a quality piece.

So cool
Love this thing, the weight and feel, the “flight mode” wheels, everything it advertises. I had to whip out a magnifying glass to see all the itsy bitsy details. A Lego man fits perfectly in the drivers seat if you’re inclined to spend the $45 on a Doc Brown or $35 on a Marty McFly Lego figure here on Amazon

Totally worth the money!
Loved the way this one looks and feels. I have the 1/15 diamond select but having it in metal makes a difference!

Finally!
Finally received the RIGHT item. Second time I've ordered this and got the small version the 1st time. Was VERY unhappy. I'm content with ACTUAL model though. Great gift or collection item

Nice bang for the buck!
Like many other 80’s nerds, I’ve been a fan of the movies since they came out. Recently I was looking through my Amazon and the Delorean came up on a search and I had to get one after reading other reviews. Needless to say I am pretty impressed at the quality of the product for the price. A+

Everything you need to know!
What can I say? this is one of my favorite possessions. I also bought the 1:18 scale deluxe hotwheels delorean that cost 5x the price and I still prefer this. If you like high detail, this item is probably not for you, it lacks windows on the sides, the metal body is a little too shiny and the glowing areas are transparent plastic as opposed to metal and there is no GMC logo on the gril and the interior is just plastic grey colour. That being said it has enough detail to look great on display and the gimmick of it lighting up is wonderful. The light is much brighter than you expect, the metal body feels great, the wheels fold up into flying position, the doors hold when you open them nicely and all in all really commands some attention. One thing to note is that the light button is on the top at the back so you can see it. Honestly, for the price its outstanding! And has a more accurate ground clearance than the Welly models.

Wow! Great Back To The Future time machine for the price for sure!
Exactly as stated. Very detailed and the lighting is cool. Only thing, I wish the lights would stay on longer. 10 seconds is not long enough.

Awesome Detail Great Detail Highly Recommend!!
Oh wow, what a great machine!!! Loves this delorean model!! Everything from the fold up doors, the fold up or down working wheels, to the blue neon lights it has. It’s a good size and nicely detailed, although I just wish the flux capacitor was coloured in a bit it’s just plain but still cool. Very pleased to add this to my collection.
