The Variable Speed IBDG-248VS Combination 2" x 48" Belt and 9" Disc grinder is engineered with industrial strength construction, sealed bearings, and a powerful enclosed one horsepower motor meant for heavy usage. The Variable Speed IBDG-248VS includes a digital readout that allows operators to accurately monitor the RPMS and SFPM. The electric motor brake quickly stops the wheels from 3,600 RPMs to 0 in less than 20 seconds. CSA/CUS Certified.

Well built way better than my prior grinder

I just received this today. it arrives on a pallet that is small enough to fit in the back of my SUV, which is a good thing as they ship it freight. The semi could not get down our road, so I met them on a main road. The set-up was very easy, the instructions were clear and easy to read (Actually English!). I'm very impressed with the variable speed, this is grinder is much quieter than my old single-speed grinder. the platforms and miter were square with the belt and the disk sanding surfaces. I was very happy to see the side of the belt sander guard is hinged to make changing the belt very fast. I've only ground some test pieces so far to check for trueness and how easy it is to use. Overall I'm happy a paid a bit more for the industrial model and it's all metal and cast parts. I'll post an update if I have any problems. So far I'm a happy metal worker!
