Deisgned to meet and exceed the tough demands of commercial and recreational duty. This pump has a liquid cooled, 12-pole meter with double ball bearings for extended service life. The 2200 motor is sealed off by a mechanical seal design. The impeller is carefully designed and tested to maximize head and flow. Universal base plate and a choice of 1, 1/2" or 2" ports makes for a simple installation. REmovable check valve included. Shaft: SS2343, Wire size: 1.3mm - 16 GA, Wire length: 1.8m - 6 ft, Max 108mm - 7", Max height: 177 mm - 7" Weight: 2.7 kg - 6 lbs.

Fast but may fail from sea water.

I use this as an emergency pump on my boat. The pump worked well in testing, and after storage failed to operate. I believe seawater corroded the works for the pump. Johnson quickly replaced the pump with a brand new one. I will run fresh water through it after each use to avoid that corrosion. Johnson also provided some information concerning how to lube the pump with grease to avoid corrosion. The pump is strong and sturdily built.

Easy replacement but will fail

This is the third pump I’ve replaced In the last 3 years. It Will last if used repeatedly (every couple of weeks) if used in salt water. But let it sit longer unused and the shaft will seize and the pump will fail to work. I only will buy this because it’s so simple to replace with the same unit.

Pump arrived with impeller loose on the shaft.

I am unsure of what caused the damage to the pump? It either came from the factory that way, or was damaged in shipping. I installed the pump which was a major PITA because of the placement in the bilge area of the boat. When I tried it the first time it popped the CB. So I had to remove it, and then I see the impeller is out of position on the shaft. I few taps with a wooden dowel and it was fixed ( I hope). So then back and reinstall! Now it works fine. Again I really don't know if it was shipping, or a problem from the factory.

Be sure you order 24 volt pump if you have a 24v system

It’s really not Johnson’s fault but some of the advertisement says 12 or 24 V . Had I looked a lot closer I wouldn’t of spent three days trying to chase down the fault in the circuit breaker when I hooked this up. Call me stupid but many advertised items that say 12 or 24 V means that the item will work for either a 12 or 24 V system so I would appreciate seeing a little clarification for the next round . My float switch and my fresh water pump as well as my washdown pump all say 12/24 . This one’s getting sent back and I am ordering the 24 V.

Powerful hi-capacity bilge pump

This was a direct snap in replacement for the rear pump on my Cruisers 320. No fussing w/ replacing the mount when the original failed. It’s an OEM replacement.

Did not come with fittings nor check valve. Looks like I have to go shopping….again. Hope the pump actually works in the end.
