Pretty good net
This is my first net and I would like to say besides the poles being a little flimsy the net held up really well after assembly.

Great Instant Pickle-Ball Court!
Over the past year, I really got into pickle ball. I have a nice, flat driveway that is perfect for the game. I had a lightweight "beginner" set for a while, but was frustrated that the net didn't stay firm and the poles were so light that everything moved too easily. I saw this net from Joola and decided to give it a try as an improvement. I also play ping-pong, and always had good experiences with this brand, so I liked it as an option for pickle ball. The packaging was great. Everything arrived in perfect condition. There was a fair amount of plastic waste, some of which was necessary, but I do think it could be reduced. I had all the parts out and ready to assemble in about 7 minutes. The quality of the next and poles seemed impressive. Setting up the first time was more confusing than I had expected. The instructions are sort of helpful, and there is a logic to the whole system. But getting it just right will take you a bit longer the first time through. By the second time, it made sense. There are a couple of set-up steps for locking the poles that just take a few extra minutes each time. In general, I am able to get it set up in about 7 minutes During play, this set is terrific. The supports are heavy enough to keep everything firmly in place, even after getting hit by the ball or bumped by players. The net is nice and tight throughout play. Taking this down is also slower the first time you do it. But after that, just like putting it up, the steps make sense. It now takes me about 7 or 8 minutes to get the whole set packed away. This is a very good pickle ball set. After using it many times this past summer and fall, I can recommend it.

Works Great
We are still learning to play pickleball - and this is a great net. We put it across the driveway so we have a hard surface to play.

Net is extremely difficult to set up.
Because the product page and other reviewers stated how simple it was to set up this OOLA Essentials Pickleball Net, I had the grandiose idea to take the family to the park and play pickle ball on the basketball court for an hour or so before it was supposed to rain. I was fortunate to have brought our bocce ball set to keep the kids busy because it must have taken me 45 minutes to set up this net. When I was unpacking, I noticed that most of the bars were rusted and that one of the connection pieces had a lot of paint scraped off of it. The instructions are completely insufficient. They are mostly pictures, and it was impossible to tell whether the bars should be up or down. With all of the bars having small numbers on them, putting the frame together went fairly quickly. At first, I thought I had discovered another flaw because one of the bent outer bars lacked the little knob that gets pushed into the bar where the net is attached, but that could have been done on purpose, given that the only way we were able to attach the net was by bending that part all the way outward, flat on the ground, while the other side was up. This made the entire installation shorter and allowed the net to pass over all three bars. The net was then tightened when we pulled up that bar again. I wish this was explained somewhere in the instructions because it seemed like we tried for an eternity with three people to get that net on there. We pulled on the net from all sides, rearranged pieces, tried to bend bars closer to the net, and so on. The net was about ten inches too short. Now that we know how to do it, the next time we set it up will most likely be much faster. But if it hadn't been for my determination to have this family activity, my husband would have given up long before that and thrown the whole thing out. When we finally started playing, we were definitely not in a good mood. Fortunately, once the game was up and running, it was a lot of fun. The net remained stable the entire time, and when it was time to leave, it easily disassembled and fit in the complimentary bag.

Well made and durable
This is a fun game. The net and parts are well made. Mine has been outside for 6 months and has help up really well. Still looks new. Good value and would recommend.
