A warm nights sleep for the Feral Cats!

I bought several of these Igloo heatpads for the Feral Cats in our area and sat them up in several Feral Cat Shelters to help keep the Feral Cats warm during the winter, and the Cats used them every night to stay warm. Love that they only heat up when the Cats are laying on them so they aren't wasting electricity all the time.

Not sure that all dogs and cats will learn that this pad is EVENTUALLY warm during cold weather

I would prefer that the thermostat keep this outdoor pad warm all the time during cold weather, so that my cats recognize it as warm and comfortable whenever they first touch it, instead of them learning that it is sometimes cold and sometimes warm (after they have been lying on it for awhile).

A life saver for my feral kitty

I got this to put in a small rectangular hut I have on a large covered porch for my little feral cat. She was born under my house and is just very very shy and cautious. I was unable to even touch her till she was around 4 months old. Now she runs to me when I go out the door and just LOVES me. But don't even dream of picking her up and she absolutely cannot stand being inside the house. Only one other person has even seen her as she runs and hides from people and if someone comes by, she's no where in sight. I have a friend that comes by something like once every couple months and she let him see her from around 8 ft away last time but no one else would ever know there's a cat here. She was born in the Spring of last year and this winter I was really scared for her being out there during winter. There just isn't anywhere here she could stay warm. Under the house it's all open to cold winds and the barn is just freezing. So I got a small "dog house" type shelter and put this into it close to the end of the summer, plugged in. By the time cold weather came in she was used to it being there and not afraid of it. During the coldest weather I see her coming out of it in the morning so I know she uses it at least then. A life saver.

Kept my dog warm during the 2021 Texas Snowmageddon.

Y'all, it's been below zero in Texas for 5 days so far. My rottweiler had to stay outside because when he comes in he looks at the parrot like he's KFC. I would never let him suffer even a little bit because he's my big ol' baby. This pad is so nice. He has a giant, insulated dog house that's actually built onto my house. I put two of these pads under a horse blanket and a 100w bulb and it was over 70° in there on the coldest night. The pads don't get hot like a heating pad, but they get warm. They're supposed to be around the same temperature as a normal dog body temperature. I can't recommend these enough. With his pony coat and his dog house he's been perfectly happy. He only gets cold when he comes into the garage with me. He actually leaves me to go get back in his bed to get warm. BTW I have two of these pads, two of the hard plastic pads like zoos use and two of the metal K&H brand plates for parrot cages. I love them all. My parrots use theirs every day because we tend to keep our house a little cool.

Disappointing vs other pad I own

Compared to a competitor product I bought this winter for my other dog house, I regret buying this one. 1. The washable sherpa cover doesn't stay on. It doesn't fully encase the pad and easily slips off. 2. The heating element pad itself seems to bunch up or curl over within the waterproof enclosure. It makes uncomfortable, hard lumps for the dog and is nearly impossible to straighten out. I would definitely not buy this again, despite the cool, half circle shape.

Great for a older dog that doesn't chew. My younger dog got ahold of it and destroyed it.

This thing is great for older dogs that are less likely to chew. If you have a chewer i would not recommend this at all as i feel they would destroy it and possibly get hurt. My younger dog chewed and destroyed this. The cover is a joke as I don’t see it staying on good without some modifications.it does put off a decent warmth and makes the dogloo a lot nicer in cooler weather.while it last

Great temperature control won’t overheat.

This product doesn’t over heat your fur baby. When you pet lays on the bed it generates heat even in sub zero temperatures to 180 degrees. You can use in summer and winter. It’s like they are laying beside another pet. Description is vague so many have not rated it high. The metal around the cord is great and the bed is made from pvc. The cover is not made well you will need to secure it differently or use something else. Over all I’m pleased.

Not all dogs will use

Pad works just fine. Only thing is my dog refuses to use it. He's happy with his old blanket. Put the pad in on a night it went down to below freezing. He started sleeping in the yard . Took it out , and he went right back to his dogloo
