Reliable, quality smart plug
The Kasa brand of smart plugs are the most reliable of the several brands we have previously used. We love our Kasa outdoor smart plug so much, we bought another one for the other side of the house. We use them to control outdoor lights, and even our wood pellet grill.

This thing is great!
Super easy to set up. The app could be a little better, but once you mess around with it a bit it's simple. I haven't tried the Alexa Integration yet. I'm using it mostly for an outdoor light timer so that feature wasn't important to me. The build quality and materials are solid. All the seams lined up well, no gaps and the electrical core junction, plug and casing are well sealed and up to the task for an outdoor installation. The plug covers could be a bit more substantial, but since I have both plugs occupied full time, that's not important to me. I was impressed with the strength of the signal reception. I was able to install this inside a metal exterior wiring box for a nice clean look and still have a perfectly strong signal.

Sturdy outdoor smart plug
We use this to plug in two string light strands in our backyard. Works seamlessly through Alexa for voice command to turn them on and off. Could also place on a schedule if you wanted. It is outside permanently, so we wrapped the plugs in electrical tape just for extra protection and to keep them plugged in with tension on the line. Have never needed to mess with it since the install. Going to buy another one this year for Xmas lights.

Kasa works better and I trust that brand more than others.
I really like the kasa brand. It's made my TP-Link and I have their deco mesh routers, kasa smart plugs and switches. Set-up is easy, the app is great and everything early pairs with Google Home.

Works perfectly
It is a time saver in the winter. I have it hooked to the tractor heater to preheat the block in the winter. I can turn it on in the house a few hours before using the tractor.

Works great.
This device works really well and the wifi range is a lot better than expected, used on the outside and so far is working as expected, no one single complain about it. Great work TP Link, thanks.

Husband loves it!
When I started buying items to turn our home more towards being a smart home my husband was leery. I've always been a gadget.. freak. I dony go out and buy any old thing. I research the items. I don't want a system installed by some alarm company, I want a custom setup - which means watching for incompatibility. The few items I've installed haven't impacted him much so he wasn't impressed, except that they worked & weren't a waste of money. However, since he was going to soon put up Christmas lights and any timers we had he hated. Mainly because he was worried about fires when we were away for more than a couple of hours. This caught my eye. A timer (so he wouldn't have to run out in his pj's in icy cold weather to unplug it), an outlet designed for outdoor use, and it has remote access. I didn't rell him I ordered it. But when I showed it to him and got it set up and he saw how easy it was to use, well, he's a big fan. We've had no problems with connectivity. It works easily with Alexa, and can even connect with the persnickety SmartThings on my Samsung phone! Not that I need that. Between Alexa & the Kasa app I've got complete control, as does my husband. Well, he uses me to do any configuring. I can't convince him to install Alexa on his phone. *sigh* It is well built, sturdy, and easy to set up. It comes with hardware to secure it to the wall so that there is no stress on the house's outlet, or on it, when things pull (or people) on whatever is connected. This is one feature that my husband really liked. He gets aggrivated with cords pulling out of the outlet or the strain on the outlet causes the inner parts to warp and plugs no longer plug in as easily. And, as most outdoor outlets have, it has covers for each outlet to keep the weather - and kids - out. I haven't checked these closely for being tamper resistant, but I had to work at it a bit to open it. I like that. Time will tell if they become loose.

Very easy to install
I have had very good luck with all Kasa automation products. For this, I needed an outdoor plug-in switch to run my patio party lights. Very easy to hook up to our home wifi system and integrate with our Echo devices. There are two plugs, so you can control two things separately if you want. Overall, very easy setup and use. I did install an new outdoor receptacle cover to make this up to code, since I am leaving it plugged in all of the time.
