Comfortable shoes right out of the box
The media could not be loaded. Tried before I purchased several Keen models and width. Found these to be the most comfortable. Barely feel and resistance when standing on a roll pin ladder which is great. I like the toe protector that helps with wear and scratches especially when you drag your feet when on your knees moving around

Solid boot but small issues
Solid boot but for a taller boot it has very poor ankle support and what they have for support rubs your interior malleolus. The rear ankle support needs to be adjusted.

Not like the original Keen
They seem like ok build quality, but they must be made but little people - ordered a 12w, as I should and could barely get my foot in them, forget about all day comfort.

A sturdy pair of work boots, made in the USA too
I've been using this pair of Keen Independence Utility Boots for a few weeks now and I'm pretty impressed. I normally wear Merrell 10 Wide shoes and so I ordered a pair of 10 Wide boots. The toe box is large, to the point I feel like I could easily wear two pairs of socks on a cold day and be comfortable. I may have been able to wear a standard 10 from Keen too, in retrospect. While the boots were stiff initially, they've been breaking in and gaining flexibility as I use them. They're pretty comfortable as work boots, but I do think the insoles are on the basic side and could be upgraded if you're on your feet all day. I apologize for my photos being a little discolored with yellow pollen on the boots. The boots are a nice matte black finish and are holding up well. The shoelaces are nice and long, but are the type with basic plastic ends that will break down. Laces with metal ends might be a more durable match for the boots.

Good work boot
KEEN's Utility Men's Independence 6” Soft Toe Waterproof Work Boot are a solid set of boots, with the notable issue of being a composite rather than steel toe, which is quite a bit of a let down for the price considering the toe box is going to be restrictive regardless of which safety shoe you wear. I also found them a little tight for the size ordered. All in, between the two issues 4 stars, but these should wear well at least.

I Love KEEN footwear!
KEEN footwear is the only footwear I’ve ever worn a hole in the soles (this is a compliment)… that’s because everything else lasted so long! For me Keen shoes and or boots are my ‘get stuff done’ footwear. The build quality is top notch from the stitching, leather work, laces, slip resistant soles, water proofing and so on. I’m a big fan of KEEN’s Safety Toe. It’s a good functional alternative to traditional steel toes that add a lot of weight and can cramp/confine your toes. The Safety Toes can take a heavy hit from falling objects. They really shine when working on your knees and you don’t want to tear up the toes on your footwear and the keep they pressure off of your feet. KEEN boots are a long time investment. Pick your style boots wisely because you’re going to have them for awhile.

These fit well, feel great, and don't slip
I'm impressed with these attractive and solidly built boots! It's finally icy enough for a good test, and I was definitely slipping on my Skechers earlier today. These soles remind me of truck tires, with deep tread that seems to make a genuine difference on my hilly driveway. The shoelace hooks seem solidly riveted in place, and the laces don't feel flimsy. We'll see soon enough how waterproof they are.
