Good quality chain, no issues.
I've purchased a few of these chains one the years, that's what happens when you have multiple bikes all running 11 speed. I've run them on both 1X and 2X drivetrains with no issues. I have a couple of chains for each bike, I'm a bit of a clean freak with my toys and I wan them to last. Depending on conditions I'll clean the chain off the bike about every 2-4 maybe six weeks. So while one chain is soaking is cleaner I can still ride. I also clean the cassette and chainring, I'm all 1X11 now since selling my road bike. One less bike to maintain and the gravel bike makes up for the road bike. and yes I reuse the missing link (knock on wood), I feel that the recommendation to replace it after cleaning is more of a safety thing, KMC trying to stick it to the customer. Maybe the missing link is the weakest link, pun intended. I'm not sure. For the person that claims someone put an 11 speed sticker on a ten speed box, I find that hard to believe, the boxes do not have peel off labels and I feel sure KMC would not do that. Now it may have been done at some third party warehouse, but not at the factory. And mine shift well and are quiet. I think that's about it, they are good chains.

** JUNK - Do not buy here! This must be a counterfeit / manufacturing Reject **
** JUNK - Do not buy here! This must be a counterfeit / manufacturing Reject ** I have purchased KMC chains for years and have never had a complaint. I purchased (2) chains in May to have on-hand. I used the 1st one in early Oct. This chain had a very stiff link that kept on "skipping" since it would not maneuver around the pulley wheels or the cog. I added a few drops of lube and manually bent the link back and forth to loosen it up. Another 2-3 rides but it was not loosening up . Reluctantly, I opened the 2nd chain package and installed it. After 2-3 rides I can hear a link on this chain clicking. I found another stiff link (actually 2). Again I added a few drops of lube and manually bent the link back and forth to loosen it up. I had thought that maybe over time the chain link would wear a bit and loosen up. I was so wrong! On a training race, the link was now JUMPING cog teeth. I could barely get back to the start location. Not only didn't the link loosen up but now it was even more stiff. I cleaned the chain but that did not solve the issue. 2 bad chains! If you check the photos you'll see that the packaging is not in ENGLISH. The very low price should have tipped me off to the fact that these are COUNTERFEIT! Odd, but the factory lube was almost non-existent compared to other *real* KMC chains I have purchased in the past. I was lucky that I had a 1 more but different (silver) KMC chain on-hand and installed that one. What a disaster!

KMC gold chain
Long lasting chain, the gold adds some “bling factor” but importantly a really smooth efficient chain. No issues at all

I am in love
I love these chains. I've been riding the Titanium Gold chain now for almost five years. I go through about three chains a year and average around 3,500 miles a chain. The best thing about these are they do not stretch! I have never experienced a missed a shift with one of these through out its lifespan. The only caveat to the no stretch is you have to keep track of your miles, I once pushed this chain to its breaking point at around 5,000 miles when it finally snapped on me during an uphill sprint. I have snapped both shimano and sram red 22 chains while sprinting with less than 1000 miles on them but these KMC's are bomb proof. If you love to sprint for county lines, go hard on climbs, weight upwards of 175 lbs and want a chain you can count on, this is it.

Great lightweight durable chain
Absolutely love this chain! Upgraded to a 1x11 and was in the market for a chain. I've typically used either Sram or Shimano chains during maintenance, but figured I'd go for a KMC this time around since they offered a lightweight option at a price I could agree with. I decided to go with this golden color for something a bit different and I am SO glad I did! It looks better in person than the pictures can capture. The chain broke easily where I needed it to for installation and the missing links are simple to pop on and very secure. Make sure you have a set of pliers if you need to remove the link for any reason! The stock oil they use is a bit on the heavy side and collects dirt easily. After a few more rides I will clean and relube with a lighter dry oil. Very happy with this purchase and may be ordering more for my other bikes!

looks great !
I bought this chain because it was lighter than the my original chain and the Gold color is cool. The one time it did pop off I was putting massive power on it while shifting up a hill. Took me about 5 mins to find the links and 20 seconds to be it back together. Have only 600 + miles since then no issues. I do clean my cassette and chain every other week to try and make this last a little bit longer. I ride about 150 miles a week.

Reliable, light, smooth shifting, gorgeous look!
Every bike I build, I only consider KMC chain in the highest spec I can find. These chains have never let me down in the thousands of miles I've ridden or raced over the last 4 years, and all 6 of my bikes run SL Ti-N chains. This X11SL Ti-N chain is no different, and it is the highlight of the look of the drivetrain on my BMC. The quick link makes servicing very simple, and the chain is easy to remove and clean.
