Everything you need

I've always had my generator professionally serviced but decided to do it myself. This was my first attempt, and it was very easy. Kit comes with everything you need and very clear instructions. Even the gap on the plugs was spot on out of the kit.

Easy Important Maintenance

Had to do the yearly maintenance, which hadn't been done for several years. Was able to get all items installed/replaced. Simple handy knowledge needed, only!

Everything needed (except tools), with detailed instructions

Just need a spark plug socket and socket driver, plus oil filter wrench. A torque wrench should be used to tighten the new spark plugs to the correct torque. Kit contains spark plugs, oil and air filters, plus two quarts of oil, everything you need to do the annual maintenance on the 12 and 14 KW Kohler generators. I've been using these kits for 10 years and have had no trouble with my generator.

All the correct parts

The price is a bit steep, but knowing that all the parts supplied are the correct one for my generator seems worth it. Particularly when one considers the cost of the dealer doing the same thing. I'll be ordering the same kit next year since I don't think it's worth while trying to determine the correct oil filter to purchase separately. Oil and spark plugs are easy to find, but I think the wrong oil filter could cause serious problems. I figure I'm paying about $20 to $30 more than if I bought everything separately. Not a big deal.

Everything you need for a 100 hour service

It is a bit expensive, but very convenient to have everything needed for a 100 hour service on a Kohler Generator.

Arrived with broken spark plug.

This arrived on time and was sealed in shrink wrap but unfortunately it arrived with a broken spark plug. The maintenance call was all ready scheduled so I couldn't return or exchange and had to drive around looking for the correct spark plug. I am just glad that I opened the package before the maintenance visit.

Convenient Kohler maintenance kit

Good package and convenient. Everything I need for the annual tuneup. A bit pricy at $64, but still much cheaper than hiring a company to do it for $250. I would prefer to have options on what to buy because I really don't need to replace the air filter every year. But like everything else, if I start buying separate, the total cost will exceed this package cost.
