Amazingly surprised!

I will admit at first I was a little skeptical, but I'm so glad I trusted in the Kurgo name and this product! I am a commercial driver and wanted a bowl that I didn't have to pour out before every trip because honestly sometimes I forgot and I'd have water everywhere. Since buying this bowl Lola & I have put it through the test! I have driven rough roads, hit hard bumps, broken road, & potholes, had my truck rocking while driving and trying to backup....things may have rattled around or fell in the truck, but no water spilled from this bowl!! I spilled more water accidentally stepping on the side wall than I did while driving. This bowl definitely gets Lola's paw of approval, we highly recommend it!!

Great for disabled dogs!

This is a wonderful option for disabled dogs who cannot sit or stand. My dog also has a habit of knocking over his water when he no longer wants it in front of him instead of waiting for me to use it- this is no longer a problem! I will say I wish it was bigger. He’s a big dog and I have to refill it a couple times in a row before he’s satisfied. Super easy to clean with scrub daddy sponges. They live rent free in this house, and this is another reason to love them.

Travel bowl

It’s skid proof and leak proof for travel and well as easy to clean. However, my dog refused to drink from it after smell C ing it. As much as I liked it I had to return it and order something else.

Works well in car

The only negative I have about this is it smells REALLY strongly of rubber when you first get it. Do not plan to use it immediately, instead plan to fill with water and keep outside (not in direct UV) for a few days, changing the water, to clean out the smell. I even cleaned with dish soap upon arrival, but as the rubber seems to be off-gassing, you just need to wait it out. It took mine about a week or so until it seemed to not stink horribly. I've now used this in both the backseat of my SUV, and witht the backseat removed so it was sitting flat. While it is designed to sit on a slight angle (nesting into the angle of a seat), it works just fine sitting perfectly flat. I keep the 'high side' towards the front as I tend to have to brake faster with doggo in car than I ever have to accelerate (braking due to other drivers, I can control how fast I speed up) and following other reivews, only keep this about half full. The only spill so far was doggo pushing it with her rear when sitting down near it, which is totally on doggo not on the bowl. The bowl did its job, and deformed so not to harm the dog, and spilled some water. No water spills from normal driving around, which is great. I liked that I didn't have to get something that bolts or clips into anything, as my doggo just gets harnessed into a child seat restraint anchor via seatbelt tether, not a crate where I would clip a water bowl into. My dog still prefers to drink when we aren't moving, but will drink from this to get a sip when she is feeling thirsty even underway. We phased in using this at our normal water breaks, replacing a normal water bowl for use outside the car, so when it appeared in the car drinking from it wasn't unusual. The wider and overhanging bowl rim was offputting for the doggo for the first couple uses, but then completely disregarded and drunk from like any other water bowl. It does not have an internal tank or anything fancy with springs, this is just a bowl with a wide inward curling rim to prevent the majority of spills. The rubber holds its shape on its own, but can be bend and twisted easily for cleaning. You'll need to plan to shake water out, and towel dry it if you plan to store, as the inward facing rim also makes getting this dry via dishrack alone difficult.

Don't leave home without one! Buy 2!

In this S. FL heat, it is just downright dangerous to have my dog out for a stroller ride or car ride. I fill it to the brim with ice cubes. Off we go! Doesn't spill in the stroller. Doesn't spill, leak, tip over, splash about, or get the car seats or travel carrier wet. Period! Loved it so much, bought another one. One stays in the car for the fold up stroller. Yes, stroller. My little guy just had a 15th birthday. He is a senior. He is a Maltese. He cannot take the hot sun on his fair skin & heat. He can't walk far or fast anymore. Water is essential for hydration. I'm telling you... not a drop of water anywhere but in that dish. Also, if you have a breed that needs grooming, the last thing you want is to pay for a groom only to have a soggy face & mix it with the grass & dirt in a regular walk. I filled the dish and set it on the roof of the car while I loaded him in for an outing together. I looked high and low, was ready to go, and couldn't find that dish anywhere!! Got the other one I had and got rolling. We rode all over town, to the park, enjoyed the ride. As I approached the car I noticed something bright on the roof. IT WAS THE RED RUBBER WATER DISH EXACTLY AS I LEFT IT the whole trip!! I couldn't believe it was still there, nevermind any splashing or spilling!! WORTH EVERY PENNY!!

Keeps water in place in the car

They do their job of keeping water in place in a moving car. I no longer have to pour water back into a container or throw it out before we start moving. The bowl is a little flimsy when held, and it can be easy to spill water if you pick it up one handed. The shape traps water inside in the dishwasher, but it's also the main feature, so I'm not sure that's fixable. Our dog will drink out of it, which somehow has been a problem with some other silicone travel bowls.

Wow what a great product!

I hardly ever do reviews, except for something that impresses me. This bowl has been fantastic on our journey from the uk across Europe in the car. Leave it on the back seat and our dog can drink whenever he likes, and no mess. One of the best things we’ve bought. Great quality too.

Dog won't use it!

This bowl does everything it's supposed to do. So I have given it 3 stars. Sadly, the one thing it fails at is making my dog drink from it. I can only assume that the rubber imparts some kind of unpleasant smell and/or taste because my dog absolutely won't drink from it. So I've deducted 2 stars, because presumably other dogs don't have a problem with it, but I'm betting mine isn't the only one who finds it a turn off.

Dogs don’t like it

Still get a lot of splash. Given a choice, the dogs won’t drink from it. We live in a hard water area and the limescale builds up really quickly and it’s difficult to clean. Awkward to fill as it’s not sturdy. It wobbles and spills! Don’t recommend.

No spill water bowl

This water bowl does not spill water in the car, which means the dogs always have water available. It is easy to keep clean. I even stepped on the edge and it flexed but didnt tip or spill any water. It is exactly what I I have been looking for, for ages.

Really great for long journeys in the car - brilliant buy!

Sits well on the back seat car cover, does not slip and ideal for putting in the middle of the back seat on long journeys so dog can lie down and still have space. Great as well if then staying in a hotel/cottage etc as light and very portable. A really good buy!
