Solid Sturdy Value

These are not some cheap flimsy Wally mart special that will loose their finish and break the third time you use them. These are very well made, sturdy and strong, ready for years of service.

Good to know that this item does not require "left hand" or "right hand" specification. It can be configured for door opening in either direction. A quality product that feels good in the hand. The simple "emergency" key provided to open the door can be a little difficult to get properly engaged in the key hole slot. The key slot is hidden deep inside of the handle, but with a little patience it should not take more that a few extra seconds to find the slot for the key and open the door.

Nice design, solid feel, attractive finish

This is a very nice privacy door knob. I purchased the satin nickel finish. Seems quite solid and the lever feels comfortable in hand. Although for me it was not initially an easy install. The hole in the door did not allow for the latch to fit in all the way so the door could not close. I had to file down the door knob opening (hole cut in the door) to make the latch part fit (about 1/4 inch on the side of the opening toward the hinge side of the door). After that adjustment, the actual door knob install was very easy. I plan to buy more for the rest of the bedroom and bathroom doors in this old house. I really like the solid feel of it as well as the finish and design.

Used this to replace a door knob on our front door. It is sturdy and feels good in your hand. Easy to install and looks very good.

Simple and elegant.

Simple, 6 screws to complete the installation. Comes with a sharp cornered plate and a rounded one. I installed 8 of these, 7 of the privacy type, and 4 of the dummy handles. The whole house feels a little more modern with the outdated polished brass knobs gone. Easily reversible with the included allen wrench. Nice feel to the handle, and no blemishes on the visible pieces. Adds a nice upgrade to the house at a relatively inexpensive price. True Value carries these at about 30% more!

Supplemented a larger purchase (elsewhere, TX) of this hardware with this Amazon order to finish out a new home. Love the shape of the levers in the hand. The mounting is easy and secure on my predrilled interior doors. The finish matches perfectly among the parts from both orders. Great stuff for mid-grade door hardware.
