Rawhide Cord Poor Quality

The last 3 pairs I purchased has resulted in the rawhide cord breaking in less than a year. I doubt this is real rawhide as it has very poor longevity. And, replacement cord would be very difficult to restring.

Good slippers

These slippers are always very tight at first, but they stretch very well and conform to my foot nicely after a couple of days. They usually last about a year before the bottom starts wearing out. My biggest complaint is the horrible name tag that is sewn into the shoe. I always have to spend quite a bit of time trying to take it out because it rubs against the bottom of my foot and is very irritating to my skin. Otherwise, these are great slippers.

Not bad

Arrived today and switched out my Minnetonkas which I wear as house shoes. As expected they were slightly tight but not uncomfortably so as I have a 4E width. Unlike the Minnetonkas these come in wide sizes which is why I decided to give them a try. Also unlike the super narrow sole on the Minnetonkas the soles on these are the width of the moccasin which is a major plus. Definitely will not be going back to Minnetonkas but I'll see how long these hold up.

All I Need Now Is A Pipe And A Robe

I am very discerning when it comes to my moccasins. I wear them exclusively around the house all day. Hence, I tend to buy a new pair every 4-6 months. This is the first time I am trying the L.B. Evans brand. Out of the box, they come wrapped and stuffed with paper and cardboard to hold their shape. I was initially worried that they looked considerably narrower than the 3E I ordered, but they did stretch to the proper width when I put them on. The fit is snug, as in no extra toe space snug. I am a 9 EEE and that is exactly what these measure. I am sure that after a few days they will stretch to be comfortable, but I would call the fit tight out of the box. The lining is a synthetic pile, not too thick, but they are warm. The rawhide laces are stiff, but are long enough to tie a seaman's knot so they don't keep coming loose. My wife commented that these slippers look nicer than other moccasins I have purchased in the past. For they price, I would call them a good value.

I bought Size 16W *I am a 15 Wide) so I could wear with thick socks. Perfect!

Like any slipper, I wish they had more support like a Nike Slip (flip flop) does. My shop is on the first floor (SLAB) and no matter how warm the air is, my feet are always could from the slab. I have floating laminate flooring with some insulation under it, but in the winter, it stays at 53-56 degrees (75 degree air temp). Thick socks and these slippers are a perfect answer. My feet stay warm. When my feet are warm, my legs are warm. Damn un-heated slabs should be outlawed - lol.

Got big wide feet? These are for you

Big guy with big feet. These were available up to 16 (Amazon, more big sizes please). Took 15 extra wide. Slipped on perfectly right out of the box. Very comfortable on the feet. You pretty much forget you have them on. A terrific buy and a very happy customer.

Finally slippers that fit!

He says they are like “stepping out of a cloud”. Coming from the man who hates shoes because his feet are so big, that’s a big deal! Great stitching and nice rubber grip bottom makes them durable.

I usually wear size 8 1/2 but I ordered size 7 and within a week they fit just right so I suggest you order a size smaller because they stretch a lot. Now they are a bit loose so I have to wear socks in them ...
