A very needed adapter to convert 1/2 " flare to 3/8 " flare on the machine.

The adapter 3/8" end..... threads were too long for the 3/8 flare elbow on the machine. I had to grind appox 1/8 " off the end of the adapter. No problem once that was done.

Great quality

Great fitting. I had to machine .200” off the top of the female fitting to allow the valve with the male flare to seat. This fitting was pretty deep and the valve I have, had a shoulder on it not allowing it to mate with this fittings female flare. Otherwise it great quality. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars.

Image deceptive & had to file down

The second image is deceptive: it does not come with a copper flare ring incert. I also had to file the female end down to ensure it fit properly.It should still work fine, but it's not what I expected and would have like to not do the extra step of filing

I used two of these on a mini-split heat pump to connect the condenser to the piping and they are working as desired.

Adapted a 1/2" propane hose to my generator feed

LASCO 17-5833 3/8-Inch Female Flare by 1/2-Inch Male Flare Brass Adapter is a well made item. I used it to attach a larger 1/2" propane hose to my generator's 3/8" feed port. Tight fit, no leaks, & works perfectly!

Good Product, just not what was needed

We are trying to find one of these for our new propane fireplace. This is a good product, it just was not the one we needed. Lasco fittings/adapters are a great product.

propane to gas grill conversion

This part is hard to find. I needed it to run a 1/2 inch flexible yellow gas line from the natural gas stub to my formerly propane grill. The stub that comes off of the grill is 3/8 flare and the flexible yellow gas line is a 1/2 flare. The shmuck at home depot assured me this part did not exist. It works like a charm.

Best adapter ever!!! This is SAE size

This part is a piece of beauty!!! Not available in any hardware shops, it was used for me to fit a 1/2 gas hose on a Weber Genesis propane BBQ that comes with a SAE 3/8 inch male part (see pics). This part fits like a glove!!! I had to trim a couple of millimiters to have it sit perfectly (like others mentionned), but that’s nothing to remove a star. Hopefully my review will help other fellow BBQ friends ????

Can’t return / Measure Twice

Even those this is prime … you can’t return it (for some reason). So … measure twice and make sure you don’t think 3/4 is 3/8 LOL

Female side of fitting a little too deep

Female side is a little too deep for standard 3/8" flare fitting to bottom out and seal. Had to file off the end a bit to get the fitting to seal. Other than that works fine.
