Awesome!….but……

So i bought a few dozen of these. Starting out they were awesome, beautiful, ornate, bright..all was good. After a few months they were not lasting as long, usually by sunrise they were still bright but many started dimming. Replaced batteries with energizer rechargeables and that helped a bit but they were getting worse and worse - to the point that at dusk sone were barely lit, some not lit at all. The problem was the plastic cover on the solar panel was hazing from UV light. So i pulled out my leftovers from my car headlight cleaning kit and voila’ they are like new! I suggest that you at least coat the tops with a UV protector so they last longer, or clean them if hazed up already! (See pics before and after cleaning and product i used)

Bright at Night and Cute during the Daytime all year long.

These were super easy to assemble-no tools necessary. They are plastic, but not flimsy. If you secure the pieces together really snuggly during assembly then the entire unit is strong. I would suggest using a garden tool or old screwdriver when inserting them into the ground. If you just try to drive them in to hard soil without prepping the hole a bit, you could crack and damage the pole. But once they’re in the ground you’re not ever going to have to worry about rust and corrosion. I’ve had a similar set in the ground year round-even in the snow-and they still look like new. The top is really cute. Rather that a flat large solar panel, it’s designed with more of a traditional colonial lantern look. It has smaller and more discrete panels placed along the edges of the top. So these look great and decorative during the daytime too. At night, these light up nice and bright. They’re slightly higher that a foot off the ground. So the light is nice and concentrated and bright on the walkway. If your using in a landscape setting, these do a nice job of adding some lower light that isn’t captured by higher shrubs and plants, yet spreads out enough to light the area for safety and interest.

Low light and cheaply made but they work fine and well suited for what I bought them for. Inexpensive!

Dimmer than most, provides soft lighting

These lights are not at all like the previous set I purchased on Amazon. It’s much smaller and dimmer. If you like the look of soft lighting and do not need lights to illuminate the walkway, this set will be fine for that purpose. I would say these lights would work well if you’re trying to create mood and locate them near the base of bushes or plants in a garden. Even after placing two lights in close proximity, my walking path is not lit enough to be able to descend the steps safely so I’ll use it to illuminate a flower garden and instead of buying another set of lights, clean the other set.

Like the style but it last less hours

These solar lights look great as decoration for my front yard in daylight. Even it’s not as bright as my old lights in dark, I still like how they look. For the price of 12, it’s really worth it. So far, they all work pretty well. Edit: Out of curiosity I checked the flood camera and found out they only last til 1-2am. Shorter time than I thought. Still like the type and how they look though.

Good solar lights

This set of solar pathway lights would be a perfect match to the need for the people like me who like the elegant light pattern and durable high quality of light structure. I purchased this set of lights for my house entrance pathway, where we have paved with white gravels on the two sides of pathway with nicely designed pattern. The pathway lighted up by this solar set looks very nice. The brightness of these lights is designed as soft and warm, which makes people feel like "welcome home" when stepping on the entrance. The other feature I like very much is the replaceable solar battery. Most solar lights I tried before were not equipped with such a feature and had to be disposed after several month of usage when battery is used up. However, these lights can last much longer as long as you replace the battery with the 1.2V Ni-MH batteries.

Pretty but not that bright!

These are pretty lights but not that bright! I did have a few out of 12 that won’t light but other then that I love them!
