Classroom quality! Will hold up well to use
These are fantastic. They're really good, sturdy quality. The hands are easy to move but really hard to harm. I homeschool and plan to use these with my 2 youngest kids (with my older kids tagging along) so everyone gets a clock. And I have enough to bring to a coop class to let small groups of kids use them in class. These are perfect for ages 4-7. Even some 8 year olds are still learning and mastering how to read an analog clock. The games included offer some nice variety in teaching how to tell time. It hit's on a few different learning styles and can be done one-on-one or in a small group. It is very teacher-led. The clock doesn't tell a child if they're right or not. That's ok with me. But know you can't just hand a child this set and expect the games to teach him without an older child or adult's guidance.

Useful, but quality problems
This is a really useful set - I love the combo of the clocks plus the boards and the cards. Makes it easy to design lots of different activities. Minus a star because as others have mentioned, it's a PITA to have to turn the minute hand in order to get the hour to move. While it's instructionally sound, reinforcing the idea that hours are made up of minutes, the random nature of the games means you might be moving across the whole clock and that is annoying for younger kids. The other is because the dice are...wth. Just use regular dice material. They can't be that much more expensive! Love the hands-on instruction. If they can fix the hand movement, it'll be a great set.

Great for teachers
My son used these clocks for his schoolwork this past year, and they're great. Durable and easy to use for the kids. We plan on keeping up with some of the same lessons this summer and these will be helpful. Great for teachers or homeschoolers.

Helped complete our 5.5-year-old's time reading skills
We bought my son an analog wrist watch when he was 4 years old. Taught him how to read the hour hand, but we had no idea how to teach him the minute one since he could not yet count beyond 12 or so at the time. So, when telling time, we told him to read 7:45am, for example, as "Time is 7 o'clock and 9". With this time practice kit and now that he knows how to read numbers as high as 9,999, we completed the training by having him now read what the minute hand truly means. Within about a week, he was able to memorize that the 9 o'clock position means 45 minutes. Mission accomplished. Did we really need this kit? Not really. We could have drawn the clocks and minute marks ourselves too.

Helpful hands-on resources for teaching time in my ESL class
I teach English as a second language and the unit on time is always lacking for want of resources. I'm happy to have these small clocks and accessories to use when teaching time to my students. This gives them and me a visual check to see if they understand the concepts being taught. Just what I needed. Then the additional pieces can be used for them to work at their desks while I walk around the room double-checking comprehension--I do wish there were 6 sets of the additional pieces as well. Recommended.
