These are great just wish they were bigger
I use these on the strings to teach my daughter how to spell her name and letter recognition. I also use them to match on paper to the letters. I do wish the letters were bigger these are pretty small.

Perfect for first grade spelling and word association!
We bought these letters on a whim AND to see if I could find something else to work with for spelling and my 7 year old. I did not want plain old boring spelling tests and words, so we went a find and seek route. I hide the letters in an Easter egg (or something else) and the 7 year old finds the egg, puts the letters in order to match a word I wrote on our spelling sheet. Then 7 year old writes her word. All. On. Her. Own. Amazing. I included a ruler next to the words for reference. Perfect for us, we love them!

Packaging is terrible, product is good!
These came to me and the package holding the letters (which was a round plastic tub) already had lost its lid in the shipping process, so the letters were spilled throughout the bag packaging. I kept the letters in the tub for a few days while I looked for another vessel to hold them in, and I found myself bending down to pick up spilled letters a lot. Like…please change the packaging!! If you have another vessel to keep them in, I think it’s a nice product. There isn’t any coloring consistency amongst letters, or coloring consistency at all, but I do appreciate that they’re all lowercase. Some letters are a lot harder to find than others. My students love using these!

Great for sight word practice
I use these In my kindergarten classroom. I originally planned on using the laces that came with them, but I had trouble getting the letters on so I knew the kids would struggle. Instead I used them with little mats to build the word. I am going to try sliding them on pipe cleaners, and I think that will be easier.

Missing some letters
My son liked it but it was missing 3 letters, color white “i”, dark blue “k”, and blue green “u”. Although we had 2 extra letters x and n. And I also feel like it is too small that my son is having trouble holding the letters and inserting the lace. Other than that, it is an ok product.

Highly RECOMMEND!!!!
Before purchasing, I read so many reviews that mentions you cannot string....I don't understand the reasons behind those, because my young two year strings them easy as pie. I bought them, knowing that they could be used on pipe cleaners (just in case the other reviews were true!) My students and children love these. They are quite a hit....

Love these
My kiddos love these and so do I. They are a bit over priced though.

Product details, measurements and ideas... Quality plastic letters 260 lower case, beautifully rounded and hugely tactile in a mixture of 10 bright colours: Pink, Purple, Red, Black, Jade, Green, Yellow, Blue, Orange and White. We feel they are a good size for our 4yr old daughter but the holes could do with being a millimetre or two larger. Height varies between approx: j 30 mm to c 18 mm. Width varies between approx: w 29 mm to i 4 mm. The letter thickness is approx 4 mm. Hole Diameter approx 2 mm. Quality 65 cm long laces X 3 each Orange, Green, Yellow, Blue and Red. They are a thick round woven design making a snug fit when pulled through the holes. It's good the laces aren't too thin so the letters remain spaced out if you want them to be, for ease of reading. Pushing the 3 cm long plastic ends through the holes is a bit of a squeeze but manageable. They could do with being 1 cm longer as threading the 3.5 cm hole span W and M is impossible unaided; there is not enough of the plastic end sticking out to pinch and pull through. My little one enjoys threading ( apart from M 's and W 's! ) name, mummy, daddy etc choosing from a small set of letters with us. Making three letter words is hugely enjoyable, especially satisfying wearing completed words as a necklace! We also use this set to: help make simple sentences laying the letters on the floor/table without threading, letter and colour sorting/matching, lay a few letters in a line and call a letter out to be found, match objects to their letter sounds, match a letter to something in the room beginning with it's sound, set the alphabet in a line and sing the alphabet song, put a letter inside a bag for touch and feel letter naming or two/three for matching; great for really thinking about the shape. They make rather sweet letter cakes for toys, a super alphabet shop and amazing alphabet soup in the café. Also paper clips can be threaded through the holes for a letter fishing game, with a magnet on the end of one of the laces. Super used as cake decorations too! The clear plastic tub with a green lid is most useful, it should last some time keeping the contents safe when not in use. A superb buy and multi functional learning aide offering many possibilities. There are Upper Case Letters and Number versions too!

What a lovely resource!
I bought this for my classroom to support my SEN children. We had similar things but they didn't work as well as I knew they could, because the letters weren't clear or the string didn't quite fit right. These are easy to use and very clear to understand. Everything is sturdy and well made (as you'd expect for the price). I thought it was quite expensive when I ordered, but it's a fairly big tub and such a good quality resource that I really don't mind spending a bit extra, and I actually think that my whole class can benefit from it as well as my fine-motor focus children, which is great!

Glad I brought this
Was a bit reluctant to pay the money for this but I’m glad I did. It’s a really good product for home learning and decent quality. Daughter (4) really enjoys it. Will get a lot of use.

Smaller than expected
This is much smaller than I was expecting and very expensive for what it is. My four year old son finds it quite difficult to lace the letters because the holes are small and I can't lace the W myself. There are a lot of letters - 10 complete sets - but one or two of them had been damaged coming out the their molds so they are useless. My son likes the fact that there are so many letters so he can make a lot of words without running out, but he finds it hard to pick out the letter he is looking for because they are small and he also finds them much too fiddly to thread. Generally we are both a bit disappointed.

Excellent product.
An excellent product. As a teacher, I like the fact that my little one can feel the shape of each letter. We sat in the garden and she helped make a necklace of her (very long) name which she now wears with pride. Sitting there together gave us a chance to relax and discuss words that start with each letter. As there are several of each letter she selected them and then chose the colour she wanted, so lots of opportunity for letter recognition. An excellent product that very much helped my 19mth old daughter learn her alphabet.
