The shirt came in the mail today. It fit well. I liked it. I took off the tags and put it in my washing machine, a fancy expensive washing machine with no agitator that is gentle on clothes. When I took the shirt out to put it in the dryer there were rips above the left pocket. I have no idea how this happened. The shirt was washed with a couple of others I had just ordered and a pair of woven cotton pajama bottoms and nothing else. In my almost 58 years I have never had this happen. I didn’t even get to wear the shirt once. I washed it on delicate cycle even because these were all new shirts and mainly I just wanted to wash the factory off of them like I do with all new clothes. I checked the washer too and there was nothing sharp in it. We bought the washer maybe 6 months ago and it’s a very nice one. The only explanation I can come up with is some weakness in the fabric. Maybe I just got a bad one. I don’t know. Mail ordering clothes is a pain in the neck. I’m done.
