This male 240v/20amp plug is good and it can be used with 3/10awg wire. Recommended.

Not my first brand choice in plugs, but a great choice none the less.

These Legrand plugs are always great. They aren't my first choice of plug but they are my go to when I cant find my first choice brand who's name I cant mention for some reason. Not being able to mention another brand name in a review really creams my corn actually. How do you give people a thorough review if you cant list what you would be comparing it to? Its a ridiculous rule, but the mentioning of another brand means your review probably wont get posted. Anyway these plugs are great. I used it for my 3hp cabinet saw as I moved the receptacle up higher on the wall and needed this angled plug so that the table saw cord would drop straight down rather than putting undue street on the receptacle and plug by using a straight plug. This plug is easy to use. 2 screws on the back and being that its 220volt it doesn't matter which side the black and white wires go on and the ground screw is clearly marked. The connections are brass and hold the electrical cable well in place. When you reassemble the plug after connection your wiring it clamps down on the insulation of the cable for even security.

Flexible

It works, and being able to adjust the orientation of the power cord means you can plug two of these into a duplex 240V outlet.

Very tight fit on cable. Might be issue.

Works as intended but really tight fit which could create hot spot on wire bend. I think this wouldn't pass industry standard testing such as UL for this reason. Hum... Plastic also not the quality I typically experience with plugs. Overall disappointing especially for the price. I consider this a cheap chicom part that should go for $8 and not $20.

A Little Pricy But Good Quality Plastics....

Purchased for a homemade adapter pigtail for a car charger. I am impressed with the price premium being charged for this plug and am curious what my local electrical supply would have charged for it. However, I've had cheap plugs and sockets and better quality ones, and this falls in the latter camp. The plastics are pliable not brittle, everything nests together well, and I have the feeling it's going to go the distance and not need replacing. As always the wiring takes some care. The book lengths aren't quite up to reality and just a few extra minutes are required to measure, cut, and fit to get a perfect-looking layout before closing it all back up.
