Works well. Jumper was junk.

The jumper supplied with it was not a standard RJ-45 and moved around in the socket causing crossed pins and damage to the device being tested. Do not use the Jumper. The breakout worked ok.

Good breakout... poor cable

Works as advertised. Happy with the product. I dislike the cable it came with, it did not come with the cable in the picture (I think there was a note that it may come with a different cable). The cable is very stiff and is annoying to use. This is fixed by using my own cable, but it makes me ask the question... why even provide one?

Bought it for when I was working as a field ...

Bought it for when I was working as a field tech. A little pricey, but definitely helps with toning out a line and I don't want to use pairs 1 and 2, which my greenlee tone and probe kit uses do it having a telephone plug on the end of it. Pick up some wires with alligator clips attached so you can short the pairs together to make the lines easier to trace.

Used to test RJ11 and RJ45 jacks to insure proper pinout. Pins are labeled 1-8, and has a indentation so your alligator clips wont easily come off. Have used others in the past, but this is the best i found. The one i just received has a short patch cable using cat5e cable instead of the grey flat cable like the pictures.

Great Breakout Adapter at a Great Price

This is a great breakout adapter. You can't beat the price and quality. Well built, feels great (not 'light', or too flimsy). A must-have for the integrator/installer for proper troubleshooting.
