Well built TR outlet
These are the stronger sturdier and easier to install version of the standard tamper-resistant decora outlet. They are an excellent choice anywhere frequent use is expected. They are also easier to install on 20A circuits with 12ga wire, I always find bending the wire to wrap around the screw annoying and with these outlets you don’t need to do that, just insert a straight wire and tighten the screw.

Strong, long lasting, only ones I'd buy.
I bought this EXACT model to know I was getting the best version of this. Home Depot, under a different model number, sells something similar. In the past I found that if it was made for Home Depot, often it is of lower quality or something is changed. These being Decora line are always more, but that is what it is. I wanted the best longest lasting sockets and these are them. I had bought once a case of the normal Decor model at Home Depot and in a few years a plug would fall out from being loose. Never again, I want the real deal Leviton non-Home Depot product. There are many things that go into making a receptical, the plastic, the number of points of contact and how the contacts are made. These are strong and long lasting. You can lookup the detailed specs at the Leviton site and compare to HD versions. The wires on these (including 12 ga what I use) can be slid into the back/side of it and then tightened down with a screwdriver so you do not have to wrap the wire around the screw, nor is it simply a snap in like one used for 14 ga wires on some models which is a weak connection. Not wrapping around the screw is very secure and tight with these and easy to do.

Two very different versions of this outlet
I ordered two batches of these. One batch was in individual plastic bags with labels, the other was in individual cardboard boxes. They are different outlets. The plastic wrapped version is considerably wider, has two slots under each screw to clamp wires from the back, has a clamp for the ground wire. The boxed version has one slot under each screw and does not have a clamp for the ground. It has "TAMPER RESISTANT" marked on the face, the other does not. The mounting ears are different. The tamper resistant mechanism is more difficult than most others I have encountered.

WAS the Best electrical receptacle I have ever encountered. The new design is a downgrade.
WAS the best electrical receptacle I have ever encountered. The new design is a downgrade. Made in Mexico. Reluctantly, I had to change my rating from 5 stars to 2 stars. I have always been a big fan of Leviton. In the new design the wires are not as secure as in the original. Also, the screw-heads for the Hot and Neutral wires are further apart increasing the chances they could touch something they should not. My main complaint concerns how the wires are connected to this device. Other changes are more minor. Not as easy to wire as the original. The wires do remove easily later if necessary. NEVER use a receptacle where you "stab" the wires in the back. The very first time you use it a little extra force is needed to exercise the shock guards. After this is done once it's very easy to plug anything into these receptacles. Recommend you install them with the ground terminal down.

workable
seems like decent quality. the tamper resistant mechanism can be pretty annoying, but if you have a lot of trouble with it try pushing the prongs on the plug end together a little and it seems to work better. The two prongs need to be pretty close to parallel and the plug perpendicular to the receptacle when inserted.

I'll never use the consumer grade again.
The commercial grade is made to a higher standard and the design for connecting a straight wire through a hole at the back is far superior to he consumer grade. The connection is released by loosening a screw rather than having to push something like a paperclip into a hole which often turns into a struggle. I'll never use the consumer grade again.

Great replacement over residential-grade outlets
Have made a policy at home of using commercial-grade outlets/switches whenever replacing. Much better plug contact and retention over residential grade, and am a bit afraid of the residential grade outlets overheating/risk of fire from poor/loose contact. No-brainer choice for me.
