The Little Giant 115 Volt, 1/12 HP 3-MD-SC Chemical Pump is suitable for the movement of moderately corrosive solvents, acids, alkalis, and other chemicals and solutions that are compatible with the material that was used to make the pump. The pump has an intake size of 3/4" FNPT and a discharge size of 1/2" MNPT. This pump can pump up to 750 GPH at 1' head. This pump can handle fluids with a specific gravity of up to 1. 1 and with temperatures of up to 150 °F. It includes a 6' power cord with a 3-prong plug. It features an open, fan-cooled motor that is thermally protected.

A GREAT PUMP

No dislikes. The pump is as quiet as a pump of this type can be. I have used pumps of this variety since the early 80’s. Little Giant has proven EXTREMELY RELIABLE. I STILL HAVE MY ORIGINAL PUMP! This pump was used for my salt water aquarium at home, and then to my aquarium shop. When I closed my store, I had the pump in storage for a few years. When I was ready to use it again, it fired up flawlessly & with a pump house that I made to keep it weather tight, has been on my pond for several years. This is the original pump from the 80’s we’re talking about! I have used others over the years. March pumps work well too, but are a bit more noisy, making them less suitable for applications like aquariums. I purchased this pump as a back-up for my existing 3md pump, and after trying it out to be sure it worked properly, put it up for any upcoming emergency. As I said, my original pump is still doing great! This was purchased as a back-up, but I can’t see it being used in the foreseeable future. Be sure to provide adequate ventilation for your pump and keep a schedule for any maintainance. eg: oiling& checking the impeller periodically.

Far better than high dollar pump it replaced.

This pump replaced a high end one on a Mason 43, we have multiple A/C systems and a refrigerator that use it via a manifold to cool their cycles. This pump runs long duty cycles and has plenty of flow out of 3 ports. This was a great value for the price, high quality and easily serviceable unlike the one it replaced.

Not worth it.

Really hard to prime and it’s lift is only like 20” lower than the pump. When we finally got it primed and pumping it pumped good but the next time we went to use it about a month later it pumped really slow. Too much money to get one decent pumping out of it. We are pumping Carwash soaps.

Pumps water up 12 feet.

Terrific pump for pumping water up 12 feet to solar hot water panels for a large spa. Keeps the spa water at 104 degrees and is the only source of heat for the spa water in Tucson, Arizona.

Great pump for Marine applications!

This pump is great for Marine use. I used this pump to replace a dometic 500gph pump on 2 marine air systems. I will order this pump again it meets all criteria for having it in engine rooms as far as it being ignition protected. This pump should last a long time Update- 4/3/19. I have since installed 3 pumps on customers boats since my last post. No issues what so ever just make sure you don't run it dry.

Great Chemical resistant pump!

Just what I needed to circulate an acidic cleaning solution through my geothermal heat exchanger. No negative effects on the pump at all, and works quietly and efficiently.
