Works Well
I needed a long bit to drill through 16 inches of junk/found lumber glued together in a "butcher-block" configuration, to drive a 3/8-inch dowel through for strength. This bit worked well and I'm quite satisfied with the results, though there are a couple of minor caveats. First, the spiral portion of the bit that contains the flutes and lands is quite short and I had to retract the bit several times per hole to clear out the drilling debris. I'm not subtracting points for this because I'd have had to clear the chips even if the bit's flutes/lands were full length, though perhaps not quite so often. Second, the lip relief was longer than I expected and that may have affected the drilling speed. On the other hand, it may have reduced seizing when drilling through hardened areas such as knots. Again, I'm not subtracting points because, all in all, the bit worked well.
