Marina Naturals Silk Plants are true-to-life aquarium plants that naturally blend into any fish aquarium to create remarkable and realistic looking aquascapes that will enhance your aquatic environment. These silk aquarium plants have intricate color variations that closely mimic real plants. The supple plants are also designed to undulate in the current to create added realism. The fake plants make a great alternative to live plants, which require frequent care and maintenance. They are easy to install, simply bury the base of the aquatic plant in the aquarium rocks or gravel. Made of safe, non-toxic silk material, they will not affect your fish tank’s water chemistry. The natural color finish will also not fade and is completely safe for all fish tank occupants. These plants are a great way to provide your fish with a fun colorful environment to live in. Unlike real plants for fish tanks the Marina Silk Plants are easy to maintain and clean. For cleaning simply hand wash with warm water. This piece of aquarium décor is designed to be a Pennywort and is 9-10 inches tall (23-25.5 cm). For more fish tank accessories check out the other Marina products including aquarium filters, filter media, aquarium heaters, aquarium air pumps, aquarium lights, aquarium thermometer, and aquarium stands. Marina has a wide variety of products that are perfect for your pet fish or betta fish to enjoy in any large fish tank, small fish tank or in a freshwater tank.

Big
I haven't used them yet waiting on my larger tank to put them in. There nice and green will look natural in my aquarium. I like the look of these better then the plastic ones I use to use and there better for your fish.

Wasn’t what i was expecting
I didn’t realize this plant came with sharp plastic pieces. I cut those off and I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel with it in the tank with my betta. I put it in and then took it out. I’m not happy with the buy. Just not what I was expecting.

Nice, attractive plant with a few modifications!
I purchased this for my 3.5 gal bow front beta tank. It pretty much fills up the back of one side of the tank which is what I desired. I did have to clip off the very sharp, long & thin leaves that were attached at the base. Not sure why they were added to this product. Poor design as it could injury a beta fish for sure & probably any other fish for that matter. Anyway, it was easily remedied with a few clips very near the base as to not leave any sharp residual pieces. After that, it is a very nice & attractive plant. Nice natural colors. My beta fish seems to like it as it is fuller than any other artificial plant that has been in his tank. He swims around inside it after he became accustomed to the fullness of the plant. It seemed to frighten him a little at first. He is a very particular fish as far as changes to his tank. I replaced his bridge one time with a pagoda & he did not like that at all. He just sat & stared at the pagoda after trying to swim through it until I put his bridge back into the tank. He likes to swim under the bridge & he could not swim through the pagoda opening because it was too small. He also likes to have a small plant placed upside down through the small access opening in the center of the tank top. He rests in the upside down plant near the surface at night. I took it out once because it looks somewhat funny, but he continued to swim back & forth in that area as if he was searching for the removed plant. He immediately swam inside the plant & rested in it when I returned it to the tank. Some fish are apparently more aware of their surroundings than others! His tank is on the bar counter above my sink. He will also beg for food when I turn the tank light on in the mornings because that is when I feed him. He will swim back & forth at the back of his tank towards the kitchen side (where I am usually preparing breakfast) until he gets fed. He does not let you forget to feed him!

Betta loves it
Fish loves it. Betta became much more active since being able to hide in there. No injuries she just sits on the silk leaves. Only complaint is its pretty rigid and isnt easily manipulated to look nice in the tank.

My betta LOVES this plant!
I’ve read a handful of reviews on this product stating that this plant will still harm your betta & its fins, but so far my betta has been doing well! I got the medium sized silk plant to put in my MarineLand 3Gallon Contour Tank, and I think I could have gone smaller. overall, it provides great coverage for my betta to hide in, and even rest on like a hammock. The plant is a bit flimsy though. I had somewhat of a hard time trying to keep the plant standing, so I used extra gravel around the plant to hold it down. Repositioning the plant was also a bit tough since it’s flimsy, but I just twisted some of the branches so that it created a stiffer, stronger branch for the plant to be positioned where I wanted them to. My betta is also starting to build a bubble nest right next to the plant!

Very Pretty!
I like the way this plant looks in my aquarium. I have read that some have had trouble with them standing up but I have not had that problem.

disappointingly floppy !!
Beautiful looking plant but let down by its refusal to stay upright with branches continuously falling to the lowest point in the tank it can get... which looks ok but it was bought for its height not ground cover. .. hence the low rating. .. I've got a 24 inch deep tank that is why I bought an 18 inch tall plant... disappointed as I believed marina was a good make... they are still in the tank as the colour and beauty save them from being thrown out. .. at the moment.

Beautiful but not getting any younger
Eight months in artificial sunlight have taken their toll on this once beautiful plant. I've fallen in love with another on Amazon, but the last time I looked, the ad says she's now unavailable.

Realistic
Used in an outdoor water feature; A little difficult to weight down due to small base but it looks lovely and realistic when in place.
