Excellent fleece
Great fleece jacket. I prefer the rounded shoulders of the Rocklin, but the fit on this is better and I like the (somewhat small) chest zip pocket. This one also does not have completely flat seams like the Rocklin has. Get both! This slimmer fit is great for layering under a shell and the Rocklin is great for wearing by itself. The hand pockets, though they don't go all the way up the inside of the jacket like on the Rocklin, are large and capacious. I would have liked if the pockets were all lined in mesh so as to allow the user to let in some cool air should the need arise. Sleeves stretch a little, which is good since I have long arms. Pushing the sleeves up to the elbow and then pulling them back down doesn't seem to permanently distort the cuffs. Probably can't find a better fleece than this for less than twice the price. The whole jacket has a bit of stretch and give to it, however the collar is reinforced and does not stretch, which is good. Unlike the Rocklin, this jacket has a placket which runs along the inside of the zipper and does not protrude at the top; there is no "chin guard". I like this design however since it's so breathy-breezy anyway, I'd just as soon not have the placket at all. Since this isn't the super fancy, stylish loop style exterior, it should wear well and not get all beat up and pilly after just a few uses. I'll update this if it does, because it's hard to find valuable information. A co-worker has a North Face brand fleece and they appear to be nearly identical. This is made in Vietnam and the Rocklin is made in China... The Rocklin looks to use a single layer of fleece for its construction where this jacket appears to be two laers somehow bonded; the interior and exterior are very different in texture. This jacket is warmer than the Rocklin, but also allows the breeze through more. Hard to say. 0 regrets other than lack of color choices. Though I'm not a fan of black fleece (on me) this one works since it doesn't have a super aggressive cut - trim but not skin-tight. Doesnt have the real hard angles and over-the-top design elements that make me feel like some kind of super villain.

This is an awesome lightweight garment! Warm!
I am 6’1 and a lifter. Most jackets have too short of sleeves for me. This fits perfectly. I don’t have a gut and most XL’s of anything I buy are too big in the waist and hang down to my crotch. I hate that. This fits perfectly. My wife told me I should get another in case Marmot stops making them!
