New owner for active Bernedoodle Grooming

Our Bernie detests brushing and tends to mat behind the ears and at the delicate skin of the armpits. I’d have to shave him down often but I just received this tool in the six blade and it’s perfect! He even rolled over on his back for me to finish clearing the mats and he is now so relieved, poor pup was so uncomfortable. I just came back here now and ordered the 9 blade to run it through the rest of his larger backside mats . Now I understand why you have the option to purchase in bulk, I’m sure eventually they’ll dull but I can’t be without it now.

A must-have for my doodle

Saw this item recommended on a dog groomers YouTube video. My doodle mats so easily, he is constantly getting shaved at the groomer instead of a hair cut. We committed to getting more serious about brushing and de-matting at home. I was a bit concerned it was going to be too small and take me days and days to demat. But I learned the small size is perfect for getting mats out in a way that does not annoy my dog. He's no fan of brushing of any kind, but this is unobstrusive enough, and cuts the hair in a gentle way, that we actually tolerates it. I also have a dematting brush that has longer tines, spread further apart, but that just doesn't get the mats. They slide right through. This is my second purchase since I left the first one at the dog park. Have missed not having it, so had to get another.

Blades are dull

The “blades” on this are very dull, they do not cut through the mats. I have to tug to get through my pets coat and he hates it. He normally is very good about getting groomed, but he does not like this tool.

Great for my doodle!

My labradoodle gets very matted on his head and under his armpits. If you have a dog that hates brushing this might do the trick. I groom him at home so this is a life saver for a mat free fur baby!

Works great

I'd tried everything on my Yorkiepoos cotton candy hair knots, nothing worked without pulling her hair. As long as you don't try combing with it instead of kinda whipping it through her hair like you would beat eggs. So very glad that I ordered it.
