PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The Master Lock No. 527D Covered Solid Body Padlock features a 2in (51mm) wide black vinyl covered body for scratch and corrosion resistance. The 5/16inin (8mm) diameter shackle adjusts from 2-3/8in (6cm) to 5-15/16in (15cm) long; and is made of vinyl-clad hardened steel, offering extra resistance to cutting, sawing and surface marring. The 4-pin cylinder prevents picking and the dual locking levers provide resistance against prying and hammering. FROM THE MANUFACTURER Keyed Different, 2" (51mm) wide covered brass body. Removable adjustable shackle provides maximum application flexibility. Shackle length ranges from 2-17/32" to 5-15/16". Adjustable shackle ensures snug fit to locked items. Covered shackle and body protect surfaces from scratching.

Saved my sewing machine!

Not long enough

So disappointed! BUT, it is a good quality product, the prongs simply weren't long enough for what I wanted to do. It is a very sturdy lock, came with two keys, and I could have sworn I read another review that said it fit his doorknobs. No luck with mine though. The product itself is excellent, just didn't work out for me. Have to return.

Worth it.

Living in an apt complex the staff will always have 100% access to your unit whether your there or not. Having this lock for my Master Closet puts my mind at ease knowing I can keep all my valuables locked away so when they do come to my unit for w.e reason I'm not concerned with what they're going through. Definitely worth the money

Adjustable lock

The lock works great and can be a little clumsy getting your fingers in to turn the key. It doesn’t look like the strongest lock but like I said works well for what I need

Perfect For Larger Spans....

Quick Review: Works as advertised and expected. Lock is easy to open and close. Very smooth going up and down. Perfect for those longer spans where there is a need for a long shackle length. Shackle length ranges from 2-17/32" to 5-15/16". Note that the key must remain in the cylinder when closing the lock. Would buy another. Recommended!

Exactly what I was looking for

I needed a long padlock for cupboard handles that are spaced almost 6" apart. This worked perfectly and is fairly heavy duty. Looks like it will last a very long time. Key opens the lock easily.
